One of my real close friends who I used to go get drunk with a lot, died real sudden today, not in any violence or street shit, but I'm still trippin about it.

I'm staring at shelves of Bay and other rap CD's trying to think of some good cuts to put on to ride this pain out right now but my head is all over the place.

Any suggestions on good cuts to play in mourning... you know some slow melodic shit to kick back to? Normally I could think of a grip of tracks but my mind is blurred.

I know it ain't the normal request on here, myself I was bumpin N2Deep and Ray Luv CD's when I found out, but can't listen to any funk like that right now.

Shit man, that sucks about your friend, may he R.I.P.

For some music, a lot of Pac songs are good: Starin' Through My Rearview, Soon As I Get Home, Life Goes On. All those.

Spice 1 has a lot of dark slow tunes to his shit. Might check out some of his stuff.

BONE THUGS...

And on the other hand, if you want to get cheered up, pop in that Afroman CD or some shit. Humorous happy shit.

Well if you willing to stray away from rap shit:

Eric Clapton - Tears In Heaven

Boys II Men - Hard To Say Goodbye To Yesterday

Santo & Johnny - Sleepwalk

Beatles - In My Life

Smashing Pumkins - Intro track to "Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness"

Derek & The Dominoes - Layla Outro (Goodfellas theme)

Sorry to hear about your homie. Howd he pass away?

Much love to everyone on here for peepin me wit some tracks, I been trippin these past 24 hours and needed to dig through my collection and get some good tunes in the player to reflect to, but couldnt think what to spin. Thanks for the help.

I only done found out now that my homie just collapsed, wasn't old or nutting but we used to do the drank real big back in the day, he'd been outta town for a while and I know he was still goin out drinkin most nights... I ain't know the cause yet but scary business.

Anyway, good lookin to everyone who hit me off with some cuts to listen to, One other thing I gotta say is that I went through a bunch of other CD's from my collection too and one which really came through was Dyin 2 Live's second album.

There first was always a cool slump, but that second one is some of the most underrated music to ever come out of Northern Cali, so much emotion, so many cool beats, a lot of pain and feeling in that CD, I've listened to that three times today.
