I don't understand what the difference is between hip hop and gangsta rap, because they are catogorized differently. The only difference I see between the two is the things that's being talked about about. As far the the culture part, there's hella niggaz that's catogorized as "gangsta rappers" that in interviews talked about chillin' in the park or on the porch freestyling and shit (somethin' usually associated w/ "hip hop". Or how they were inspired by rappers like Slicc Ricc, KRS 1, Dougie Fresh, Rakim, etc.. I've even heard "gangsta rappers" mix ol school stuff into their shit. Man, it's all Hip Hop, fucc what you heard.
