^^^ I cant dis agree with you on this however, are we being to critical...we could also say thatthe ones who are doing gangsta rap have to be reputables, and alot are not....Im guilty as well i hold this crazy standard above all artists...I loved hip hop so much before i was like this.....But the new west artist are reinventing themselves cause that same style that was hot in 92 is gone...there have been new generations of teenagers coming and going...so i guess keeping it real..aint gonna always work....I do beleive that an artist can keep it west and gangsta, yet appeal to the new age teens...but they gonna have to evolve as well

i never called shazzloc a studio gangsta, u must not know wut tha term reputable mean or u just got another meaning to it, i dont know wut that nigga is he could be banged out, but he didnt build no rep up in LA, nigga grew up in canada n shit along with LA, homie wuzn't no rider or reputable, but i got no problem with that, like i said i think that nigga tight cuz he sound WEST COAST
that qote was refering to what stunt101 said to hot sauce...but I aint never heard of shazz-loc before his recent video....But I agree there are some L.A. rappers with N.Y. accents..GAME is the biggest example...Its one thing to rap over east coast beats and shit..and be a studio gangsta from a set thats nearly non existant..but the accent is....damn i cant understand why he felt he needed to do that

i know shazzloc from LA, but just cuz a nigga from south central dont make him a reputable, a reputable to me a is a nigga that not only bang but his name ringin thru tha streets and in tha pen, thats a reputable a real Rider, yeah shazzloc did some work recently with cat n' them in tha jordan downs for his lil dvd n
I never said he was a reputable i said he was a OFFICIAL nigga cuz i tought you was trying to say he fake or whateva but yeah i get what you saying... and i also never said he was real cuz he was from watts/south central i just said that cuz alot of niggaz think he from the i.e.

But as far as all the rappers that blew up outta LA from day one till now none of them were reputables..

wow, i think tha new york accent n style is VERY clear, so u tellin me u cant tell the diff when a nigga like young maylay rap and when a nigga like young hootie rap? hootie got that new age new york swagger/rap that jay-z type style "holla at cha boy" type shit , its very obvious to me, while young maylay sound like a nigga str8 outta L.A.
Hootie got a lil new york STYLE as far as his raps go but not no ny ACCENT.. and g malone dont sound NOTHING like a new york nigga and neither do the young hoggs..

I don't give a fuck about nobody's street cred, if the music good, buy it. Nigga can gain or lose street cred overnight, sometimes just hearsay is enough for someone to lose or gain their shit. End of the day if you a rapper your job is to make good music.

Listen here... niggaz talkin this and that, how certain niggaz have a ny accent or style compared to the old school traditional gangst twang... well thats exactly why the west aint on top cuz we havent changed our style in over 20 years... if thats what u prefer, go support it, there are a bunch of west coast acts still giving you that "ABC", "Gangsta", "Loc" style of rap... but that shit is over!!!! NY & The South have come with different styles of music consistantly and we still bickering over the same bullshit...

Daz, MC Eiht, kurupt, Snoop, Dj Quik and more have all put out music lately to poor sales and all have been independent which shows you the industry aint checkin for that old school gang bang style... whether you like it or not that style will no longer be accepted so just change with the times and roll with the new niggaz coming out the west or you can support the same ol same ol...

If all dudes from the Westcoast sounded the same, and all the same in the East, and South, and North..... it would suck. Variety is a good thing, it would be stupid to be the same as everyone else, that would be boring as hell.
