I've been trying to learn latley too..I went through this tutorial (http://www.squidoo.com/myspace_div_overlay/) and it really helped me understand the basics. It helps you build a basic div layout for a myspace, thats as far as I've gotten though.

I've used em, not too hard though it helps if you know some html. Makes your myspace page more customizable.
