Roe v Wade Overturned?
Jeb Bush elected in 2008?
60 Republican Senators?
Worker Revolution/Marxist Uprising?
$5/Gallon Gas?
War with Iran, or North Korea, or etc.?
Institution of a Military Draft?

What would it take for you to leave your beloved home, the United States of America? (Or for foreigners: What would it take for you to stop worshipping us and trying to be us?)

For me, it'd probably be a Marxist Uprising. I'd be gone with the quickness. Anything else (out of the current list, that is), I would find a way to tolerate.

if another country had......

steady jobs, affordable housing, a government not controlled by a dictator, a society that isnt based on a religious ideology, good (affordable) medical coverage, known for its school education..

i could go on and on, but instead of listing things inside this country that would make me leave, id rather list things that other countries could offer because as of late, my faith and pride in the government that controls amerikkka is at an all time LOW and figured this would be the shorter list

WW3, and martial law. Our gov't already has a set plan on how they can instate martial law if need be, but seeing that we're supposed to be a democracy, that's a little shady to me. But if that happened, I don't think I'd be allowed to leave, and I'd just have to start killing people (not citizens of course, lol).

Gas prices aren't my problem, cause the UK pays a shit load too.

I'm already thinking about leaving anyway though, for at least a few years.

There's only one thing that would make me leave: if the country went to war, instituted a draft, and then drafted me, and I didn't believe in that war.

But we dont have a draft so I'm staying.

Up till this year I've never been to another country. I knew I hated the US government and I considered the rest of the world to be better off. Then I quit selling weed and took all of my money to go a nice vacation. I visited England, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Jamaica and saw everything from great laws to extreme poverty, good public transportation, different attitudes, etc. And what I realized is, despite how I feel about our government there is NOTHING like America and its people.

Face it...the people around you make your life everything that it is. Imagine leaving this country by yourself, and not having your friends or family. Can any of you give that up?

I wouldnt knock anybody for saying that their ideals and morals are so important that it would cause them to leave the country. But I could never leave my family and friends behind. They're the reason I live.

Unless staying in the country means I have a chance of dying - laws that persecute me or wars that will send me to my death - I'm staying.

another thing is the cost of living. Bush is making it so difficult for the middle class to survive right now, its almost to the point where teachers have to get 2 extra jobs just to make ends meet. meanwhile, exon is ranking in 50 billion a year.

Roe v Wade Overturned?--------------------No.
Jeb Bush elected in 2008?-------------------No, but close.
60 Republican Senators?---------------------No, but getting closer.
Worker Revolution/Marxist Uprising?--------No, actually could be good.
$5/Gallon Gas?--------------------------------No.
War with Iran, or North Korea, or etc.?-----No, but it would be a start.
Institution of a Military Draft?----------------If my son were of age and I/He didn't agree with it, HELL YES.

If Jeb Bush gets elected and 60 Republican senators agree to send us to war with Iran and N. Korea, and instituted the draft, I would bounce with a quickness.

steady jobs, affordable housing, a government not controlled by a dictator, a society that isnt based on a religious ideology, good (affordable) medical coverage, known for its school education..
Somebody help me here - didn't Troll just come close to describing Canada?

Well my store manager told me that we're getting a raise because the cost of living is going up. I don't know about any of you all jobs but my job as well a my mom's job will get a pay raise.

Nothing would make me leave because if things do take a wrong turn and eventually it will somebody is going to be left behind. So it doesn't make a difference as long as i'm with my family..

Nobody is going to leave. Everyone would rather stay here and continue bitching about how bad the country is, but not many people will actually follow through and leave.

At most, I might leave this state and go to a Third World state to live, like New Mexico or Idaho, where the cost of living is affordable. For now, I will stay in Southern California and see how the housing market goes and see if I can actually afford to live in Southern California on, as Psycho Logic said, my shitty teacher's salary.
