The Rum Diary

What a waste of time this movie was. Soooo boring. I'd admit that my expectations were high after Fear and Loathing, but had I seen Rum Diary first I'd have never seen Fear and Loathing because this was so bad I'd have never given it a chance.
1/2 out of 5
Fear and Loathing is one of my favorites and for some reason i can never bring myself to watch this. i always had that gut feeling it would be shit and seeing the rating you gave it i'm happy i never watched it.

Event Horizon

I was expecting some space demons tearing a ships worth of crew to pieces in bloody gorey glory. Instead I get a magnetic sphere messing with people's emotion.

Event Horizon gets a fucking gay out of 10.

After I watched this last night I just kept repeating to myself, "How did it take me so long to peep this?" I mean this is very close to 10/10. I love foreign cinema and know that S. Korea ranks really high but this is just such an intense mind bending treat. I bet Koreans were trying to rock the Oh Dae-Su hair after this joint haha. MUST SEE

Oh and spoiler alert: the main actor posts on the siccness under the name, 2-0-Sixx.

haha one of my all time favorite movies without a doubt.

I fell asleep not even half way in Rum Dairy. kept telling myself "it has to get better" but couldn't make it.

I watched The Divide, or I think that's what its called, and thought it was pretty dope. the acting wasn't that good especially in the beginning but the plot picks up and shit gets real fucking twisted. 7/10

I JUST WATCHED "CASA DE MI PADRE" AT THE MOVIES

IT'S A COMEDY THAT STARS WILL FERRELL

HE SPEAKS ALL SPANISH, THE STORY IS ABOUT TRAFICANTES, AND THE SPECIAL FX ARE PURPOSELY CHEESY.

I DONT KNOW WHAT MY FINAL THOUGHT ON IT IS...

THERE'S PARTS THAT ARE FUNNY BUT SOME OF THE BITS ARE TOO CLICHE.

IT'S DEFINITELY A COOL FLICK TO SEE HIGH THOUGH.

IF YOU LIKE WILL FERREL SOMEWHAT...MOST LIKELY YOU'LL LIKE THIS FLICK

my sister has some denzel washington 3 pack and i watched all 3 movies yesterdya morning... lol

"Courage Under Fire": pretty good flick, worth watching if youve never seen it. meg ryans acting was kind of annoying but it didnt really ruin the movie. i think everybody did a great job... ultimately it has kind of a "B-Movie" feel to it, "people pretending to be army people" feel. but i didnt mind and was glad i finally saw it. i was much more interested in denzels story rather than meg ryans story, it was like two stories going on at once, and even though meg ryans was supposed to be the main story, it came off as being the weaker part of the plot in the very end.

"The Siege": this movie is pre 9/11 and its obvious. its almost like the movie serves to prepare people mentally for what happened (tinfoilhat.jpg). i found myself constantly thinking about 9/11 and all the stuff that happened afterwards with the arab community and the militarization of the united states. its a good movie worth checking out if youve never seen it; its also worth re-visiting if you saw it pre-september 11, now with the knowledge of what happened afterwards.

"Man on Fire": pretty decent movie. i couldnt really stand dakota fannings character or her tiny scary ass little corpse eating zombie teeth, and the movie was pretty predictable, but christopher walken is in it and did a great job. i think denzel washington could have pulled off being more of a bad ass in the movie, cause that seems to be the central theme; gets wronged, awakes his wrath and he goes all out to get revenge. i think he could have been more fierce if thats even possible. and i wasnt much a fan of the camera work they used. then again its a pretty old movie. also they didnt really give messico much credit in the movie lol, the picture they painted was like a run down third world country where laws dont matter, only money.

these are all pretty old movies; i shouldve seen them all already but i was young when they were released and i wasnt too big on mainstream shit back then

^^bought a Denzel Washington 3 pack and blamed it on his sister
why would i lie about that? i havent had the chance to pick up any new movies so im just watching all the shit she has

this morning i re-watched napoleon dynamite. cant believe i ignored this movie for so long, its so fuckin hilarious to me and makes me feel good everytime i watch it lol, no martu

then i watched "white fang", it was like four episodes but i only watched the first one. lol so cheesy, i could barely stop laughing.

watched "The Departed". ive seen it before but it was so long ago and i was so stoned i barely remembered it, so it was kind of like watching it for the first time. man this movie is pretty bad ass, i used to hate on leonardo dicaprio but hes that dude. all i can really say is this movie was amazing and a must see. it made that denzel washington 3 pack look like shit lol, and those were fairly good movies.

got about 45 minutes into "3:10 to Yuma", so far its pretty good. so far christian bale is a huge faggot and his 14 yr old son is a massive annoying piece of shit, hopefully they both redeem themselves or something. i have a feeling his 14 yr old son is going to get himself killed. about to finish it up when i get home in the morning

anybody have some movie recommendations? im not really looking for shit thats super highly acclaimed and well known and all that, that shit is almost never at the pawn shops. probably goign to buy like 12 movies on monday. i need some movies that are kind of overlooked and medicore to good quality. you can recommend great shit if you want

"3:10 to yuma" was good like the first half then they just lost me in the last half. the 'big payoff' at the end wasnt really worth watching the whole movie for, and was pretty unrealistic and pretty lame. id recommend it if you had absolutely nothing to watch at all but ultimately its easily skippable

"Shooter" was a pretty decent movie for what it was. not really a must see but its not horrible either

Money Ball

Shows how poor of a movie season it was last year that this got nominated for an oscar. Not that I thought the movie was particularly bad, it just wasn't particularly good. No way oscar good. Neither of the actors were oscar good. They weren't bad, just not the level of great you should be to even get nominated in my opinion. Did a good job of making you interested in one of the less interesting aspects of baseball.

Hesher

Movie wasn't as good as I had hoped it would be. The trailer looked bad ass. I expected more Hesher and less kid than I got. I expected more funny and less depressing than I got. Again, not bad, but nothing stood out here.

well it was a movie worth watching, especially if you like baseball. but it wasnt fantastic in the sense that there was exceptional acting or anything truly great about the movie to me. there was exceptional ambiance and exceptional sound quality, but overall it was one of those you watch it to see it then thats it movies for me.

i guess i just changed my mind, id recommend people check it out if they like baseball or sports. but if youre wanting to check it out cause you want to see a great entertaining movie then it might fall short for you
