"SUCCESS IS THE BEST REVENGE"

My homeboys made a song called "SUCCESS IS THE BEST REVENGE" and thats real as fuck. Theres not a better feeling than prooving everybody wrong that doubted you (except for being on stage). I also do this for my homeboy who passed away a couple years ago. I'm trying to keep his dreams alive and make him proud of what I'm doin. There will be many people that will come along and try to discourage you but you can't let it affect you. Nobody makes it in this game overnight.

ITS NOT WHAT YOU KNOW BUT WHO YOU KNOW AND THATS HOW YOU'LL MAKE IT IN THIS GAME.

How about the passion for rapping and the love for music in general. I've listened to rap the most for basically most of my life and I will continue to cuz it's powerful. Considering myself a deep thinker, it feels good to express your thoughts onto a song and have people listen and understand where you coming from. Knowing that I have great passion for rapping is my motivation.

For me, someone pretty new to the business frontier, it's jus that I can't stop. Music has been the only thing, from as far back as I can remember, that I could see myself doin. Of course, there was other shit, but there was always music along with it. I've always wanted to work in the music industry. Finally, I'm gettin started. To me, it's a dream come true.

So basically, bottom line, to answer the question, I do this and will keep doin this cause it's what makes me happy. Through the ups and downs, I know, this is what I want to do.

Later!!

Tact: Great thread....

As far as me & my feelins and what motivates and doesnt motivate me. 1st and foremost i luv music in general... it is besides my fam and girl the luv of my life. When i was younger and bottled up everything rappin was a way for me to express myself when i had no other means of letting out my agression. I haven't made shit from rappin so if it was about the $ i woulda quit long ago. Corny as it sounds I wanna be remembered by those few people who hear my music as someone who did his very best to put out quality material and always gave the best effort and came with real life tales that all or most of us at least can relate to. I'm sure most of you like me have woke up many days feelin like your unstoppable...eff every1 im ah make it no matter what... but since were human we have days where we are to the brink of letting the negativity consume us and consider giving up. But I know that music has and continues to get me through so many hard time in my life... (amazing what a song can do). Brings back memories good/bad. And inspires more then anything. But in the end... it all comes back to the luv man.. i just luv to do it. Pz

shit TACTOUT i feel you cuzzin........its like going to the gym by your self, and you notice hella cats trying to do the same shit you doing but either doing it wrong or not putting there all in it......plus if you bolo..........your motivation just fades away!

i can say in 1997 i decided to hang my shit up. and thats what i did i couldnt take it no more.....stop buying albums....i couldnt even take a step into the record store...it was terrible. but i loved this music to much, and CANE how you put it is correct.....i can make a song and let it roll until that shit brakes in the deck! its just that feelin you get..........WHICH IS THE REASON WHY I GOT BACK IN. now its time to make some quality music.

I keep writing because that's my shit. Since I was like 13 years old I was writing new shit and just became addicted to it. There's always other motivation like money and bitches but I really like to have my life so to speak cataloged on cd's, starting back when I was 15 was when I made my first studio recording.

It's like journal entree's with bass and drums. I remember being gutter poor with a swap meet kareoke machine making songs with the homie. Drinking. Smoking. That shit right there, just the good times I've had making shit with friends and the parlay factor in song making is what drives me. I truly enjoy doing the shit, and that makes it easy to be the workaholic that I am. I can get in the studio and grind all day come out looking dizzy and distant.

The game is all i got , it who I am. I eat sleep and shit this game. I don't have a day job i do this for bread and meat.

I love the art.

I Love being able to express what i feel in my heart for the world to hear.

I Love that fact.

I also believe the game is lacking, especially the west coast because were over here trying to conform to other peoples forms of music rather then staying true to our roots(gangsta shit)...

I believe real true shit needs to come back to the forefront for the west to rise again and i want to be the man to do it...

I will be the man to do it(remember this) (save this) because you'll think about this later.....

I promise......................................

I also do it for my kids, my father RIP I want to change alot of shit and this avenue is givin me the chance...

What keeps me going in this game is my love for it, my addiction to stepping in a booth and letting everything out, rap is my crack. I have so many feelings, so many emotions, so many thoughts I need to get out, and talking to somebody about it would take YEARS AND YEARS, so I write about it, and I keep writing. I wrote 300+ songs in a little less than a year, and I'm STILL writing. Add those to the songs I've written since 1996, and I probably have 500 to 600 songs DONE and ready to go.

I started doing this SERIOUSLY when my best friend passed away (1996), because we had dreams of comin' up together. We started rapping together in 1994, always freestylin and what not on the way to elementary school. So now, I'm trying to keep the dream alive, and make it for both of us, and make my homie proud cause I know he's watching over me.

So for those reasons, I keep going and going and going...and everything motivates me. If something negative happens, if the whole world tries to hold me down, I will be that much more motivated to shove it in their faces when I succeed. I will never give up, rap is in my heart eternally.
