turf to the club, 16's wit me, fly as this, all that old shit from ya boy is ill in my opinion; he still talented, but i prefer his older, grimier style when he was still in frisco and not hollywood'd out. he jus trying to get national exposure right now, its obvious, look at the songs he puttin out: songs that sample lil wayne, tpain, etc. ppl are eating that shit up, but i wish he went back to his older styles and switched his shit up once in awhile

Ya Boy is a good rapper, and really the only rapper in a while to attempt to get out of the Bay and go mainstream. He's a cool punchline rapper which is something the Bay isn't used to having. What I don't like about him is his lyrical content and how damn near every song is the same. I'm still a fan, I just wish he would rap about something else sometimes. But he's still one of the Bay's best young rappers.
Also I'm not really feeling this whole "YB tha Rockstar" gimmick he trying to put out. Kinda corny to me.

bro I am a ya boy fan just as well as I am a fan of most of these rappers you mentioned....BUT, for you to say telly mac, don toriano, or even seff tha gaffla are better lyrically then ya boy I would have to say that is madness....i mean come on Toriano???? that guy is weak he is not a talented rapper and damn sure has no lyrics that I would repeat...just my opinion
to answer your question tho Ya Boy appeals to a much larger audience then say telly mac or toriano...his style is more mainstream yet he still reps the bay...and while he does rap a lot about guns and what not it is his style and content that makes people fuck wit him...he is an elite mc especially for a bay cat....as far as him having a lot of younger fans I wouldn't doubt that either because he portrays himself as a young and hungry rap cat who can appeal to the style and culture of lets say the younger generation...there is a level of thought and intelligence in his raps also that toriano or telly mac cant fuck with....

Telly mac use to be coo' but not really anymore, Devo was a lot better imo and was very underrated. Ya boy is raw, some of yall need to stop fucken with rappers that have them simple ass rhymes like Mess. Ya Boy is so much better of a rapper then Mess and Mess puts out more bullshit projects yet still gets more love on this site which is hilarious
