don't get me wrong I bought Rookie of the Year when it came out and thought it was suprisingly solid.

However a lot of you dudes on here are like obsessed with him. What is it im not seeing or hearing that you guys are?

ya boy spits on a level that is more on par nationally

IMO there are alot of bay artists who spit way sicker than him but i can see why people would call him the best because his wordplay is sick ... i just think he needs to define a personality and let that start to build a style and hopefully a career for him

you the only one who answered the question in depth. Im a play devil's advocate. I think theres a lot of other rappers in the Bay that are better lyricists than Ya Boy and deliver their raps with way more style than Ya Boy. Such as San Quinn, Bailey, Toriano, Telly Mac, Devo, Seff, Boo Banger, RGeezy aka Mistah One, Louie Loc, Locksmith.

So what are you guys hearing Ya Boy execute that these guys aren't in your opinion? Im asking because you guys hype him up way more than these guys from what I notice on BART.
