You have a good point my friend.
First off, I hope you're well bro. To speak to your question, it's gonna be tough. SO MANY people have certain things going on:
1) There is the social programming that goes along with general labor, in the sense that a regular 9-5 is not "cool", and in the minds of people who haven't been shown different, being "cool" is a survival skill, life is not life without being accepted by your peers. So, because of that, they ( myself at one point in life) only want to work in fields that are 'cool'. Think about ALL of the Latino MD's , Lawyers, and architect firms in the world. They make decent money, but how popular are they among the mainstream as a whole?
2) A PROVEN CONSCIOUS EFFORT by political establishments that , for the sake of big businesses who benefit from it, NEED US TO PERMANENTLY stay rooted in this mindset of 'cool'. In fact, we are so programmed to laugh or dismiss things that are cool, that we will accept the idea of rapping in our 40's and 50's BEFORE we accept a LAWYER and DOCTOR in his 20's as career option.
If this was a lockout of doctors, no one would care. Docs aren't 'cool'. Ballplayers are.
Good random thought bro....
