I think most people dont like it because the style is not all mobbed out like what most people grew up on. It's not bad for the bay, its fucking great. High diversity is good, there is less chance of failure. that's a proven fact in life. And i'm not just saying this because i like the cd. 9/10!!! that shit slaaaaaaaaaaaapss
Maybe with this high deversity shit you say you are feelin' maybe next you want to hear some frisco puddle skippers doin a colabo with some frisco dykes bout some gangsta shit.

the problem is there are too many people in the bay that only likes bay music. they have an idea of what the mobbed out bay area music should be and will only support such music.

now we have a new movement in the the bay, music kind of like crunk called hyphy. thats what you get with the federation, thats what you get with turf talk. unfortunately this is what is our best shot to go nationwide with and too many people arent happy with that. when people are calling others haters or jealous, its because these people are gonna hate everything that doesnt match IMP or RBL or 11-5 from back in the day. you have to expand your horizons eventually

album is hella cooh, but im feelin Turf Talks album much more than the Federation's..

although the production and sound engineering on the fed album is super sick and crisp as fuck, but shit it still is almost better than any other bay album that came out this year, it sits among the "i give you my word" "disobayish" "street novelist" albums that are amongst my top 5 list... 8/10

foreal bayGIANTS is right, i know many foolios that think that the bay area sound is supposed to be RUTHLESS BY LAW 1994, but it aint and that's what many artists are trying to perpetuate till this day, now that we got a new hyphy sound being put out by 707 artists as well as oakland artists our own bay area people aint welcoming it. watch when the bay sound goes big all the niggas talkin like "the bay should be recognized" are going to be the ones that say man that hyphy shit is weak...

That ain't how I evaluate a bay album, or any album in that matter. When a new bay album comes out I don't compare it to that "mobb shit" or that "og frisco sound." If it's tight then it's tight. If it's wack.... then it's wack.
Plain and simple. I don't care if you're from the bay or not. And to say we have to expand our horizons? Man i'll bump anything that is tight whether its rap, classical, folk, or country music. And plain and simple, The Federation album ain't that tight to me.

IMO that's the type of music we need if we wanna blow of nationwide and want ppl to focus on the bay like they focus'n on the south right now.......but whateverthefuck
