So Im reading all of these threads and posts...And I find myself wondering, "what tha hell are we talking about?!" Before you get offended or mad at me hear me out...You probably think Im some broad on that political yaya bullshit but Im just asking.
I know this is a place to be "you" and express ones point of view but what's it about?
The only common thing I see on here lately is hate. Take it how you want to, but it seems like hella people get on here and the first thing they wanna talk about is how much they hate this rapper, or how much they hate this album...
Criticism is great...but for once, Id like to read about some constructive criticism...you feel me...
I know it wont always be positive but can at least some of it be positive?
Give it up to the next man for going out and really handling their bizzness.even if they dont do hella well at least they are doing more than talking...

What do you think? Im dying to hear some type of feedback. Maybe Im alone.

im fairly new to this site...i had envisioned this site to be informative about the industry but instead it is the national enquirer for the bay. all gossip rumors n hate. my threads on the summit are the least viewded, but the question of who is ur favorite artist on thizz or who is funkin with so and so have like 10,000.

You could'nt be more right. I network on this site to get a broader audience and view different levels of game. The hate and the rumors(hate) are the fluff. I see a lot of cats on here asking why "The Bay" is'nt back.... but if you pay attention it's not enough support and the unity of the Bay which is it's(The Bay) trademark, has been losy in the shuffle. A lot of things use to and still do happen in the bay due to the unity instilled in the lifestyle. Now there are more one person mixtapes than the signature "Compilations". I some times participate in the debates... but I'd rather not see multiple threads comparing rappers who are suppose to be unique. Questions, networking, sharing knowledge & emotions, are great. But threads that slander ones views of another working artist can be over done at times. Nobody's always positive... but just saying "I don't prefer his/her/their/itz music it doesn't qualify for my collection" can eas the hate. But everyone is entitled to their own opinion even if they do consider it "legal" in the laws of hate. I say support the individualaty of the artist, and those from your area to bring up the level of awareness. I wish everybody in Kalifornia could go platinum so the West can be where everybody heads again.... but it's too much segregation....

Hyphy-Thizz/Mobb
etc. etc. etc. etc.

Buy it all... or at least what you can afford... don't like it.... trade/sale it... everybody got a lil hustle in em!

This board used to be very informative and a decent place to pseudo-network. Artists would stop by from time to time to drop info ... but now the little druggies and net bangers have got a hold of it and it's basically trash. I've been following and posting on BART for years and hate to see it in the state that it's in.

Like danny dee said it's basically the national inquirer now. Thizzin, hatin, and (insert non bay artist name here) stole some bay area slang.

It's sad really ...

I consider myself a VET to this board having been here since late 99 early 2000. Alot of changes over the years but imma tell ya like this, where else can you go and ask about an artist and someone knows the answer?? where else can you read up on underground releases or hear about it before it happends. This site might have a shit load of net bangers but the networking aspect is still very strong. I wouldnt know when C-Dubb drops shit if it wasnt for this site. I wouldnt know how X-Raided is doing in jail or tha the plans on releaseing a book and a new cd if it wasnt for this site. You have to open your eyes too the bigger picture hear. I think alot of people take this site for granted. Its real easy to focus on the negitive shit but think about positive and what would happen if this site wasnt here.

I in no way intended to down this site. That was not the point of my thread...I realize it is a great source of VALUBLE information...thats the key word.
Not everyone realizes the value of the site. I was just wondering if i had its main intent wrong.
I love I can find out industry info. here before it hits main street, but how important is knowing Turfie was on Joe Brown? I mean, it is indeed interesting, but it has no relavance.

Entertains me away from my work, friends and family, television, late night drinkin (if indoors I creep to the sicc anyway).. catch jokes from the open forum and various threads gone wrong... listen to some unsigned hype, get all hyped up over vinyl and tape appreciation threads... Cant do it anywhere else but here really.. network on the trades n deals..

I'm sure theres a lot of heads that approach the sicc in a different way.. some like to, uh, cause trouble, get their music, art, business out there...

Very few of my friends share the same interest... Even ones I rap wit wouldnt check for the sicc... :dead:

this place is like a underground rap mecca.. type some shit in the searchbar here and you get hits, type it in google and you get nothin.. apart from the link to this very site. Siccness is BIG.

lol, this site is great for news on cali rap. it, what, started at just a sac rap forum? now look at it, its a BIG nor cal rap forum. then you got that other place, wcsumthim....

there are some cool folks on here, all you gotta do is not act stoopid, or drunk.

i feel that. I love to hear others opinions, as long as they are backed by something other than hate. I knw everyone has a right to their own opinion, but would it hurt to be cool at some point? Im not saying pretend like you like something if you dont, but at least give props to those that deserve it.
Im a firm believer in positive vibes...when you give off negativity it comes back, the same with positivity...its all reciprocal

I love the Sicc.. and I've done A LOT of business with folks up on here and made some decent money.. BUT theres hella bullshitters, shit talkers and all around dumb asses that post here too... its just another realm of life..


I do LOVE me some Danny Dee tho'..!! ..he's a sav... lol..
