Jackson out, Shaq wants to be traded, Kobe opts out

Wow. 1 Hall-Of-Fame coach leaves, the most dominant player in the NBA, Shaquille O'Neal, wants to be traded, and Kobe Bryant opts out of his contract.

We all should know by now the rocky relationship between Phil Jackson and Kobe Bryant. And we all know how much the owner of the Lakers Jerry Buss loves Kobe, and we all should know by now that Jerry Buss abruptly stopped contract extension talks with Phil Jackson in February.

Shaq wants out because the Lakers GM Mich Kupchak said he wouldnt trade Kobe Bryant but he would entertain any offers for Shaq.

We all know why Kobe wants out. Wants his own team, he doesnt like Shaq, doesnt like Jackson.

What a fucking day for us Lakers fans....

In other NBA news, Tracy McGrady will not re-sign with Orlando.

Kobe will likely stay, since he will now have his own team and a boatload of money offered to him.

"Kupchak said the Lakers will offer Bryant the maximum allowed -- seven years and more than $140 million. That's a lot more money and one year longer than any other team can offer."

and so will the wagon...we'll be seeing a major decrease in laker fans within the next year...
Man thats all you talk about is a fucking wagon. News flash, we are in California and so are the Lakers. Of course your going to see Laker fans everywhere, and of course they arn't going to say shit when they're not winning because there ain't shit to talk about, look at Czar and his Bulls, you haven't heard a peep from his ass since the late 90's.

whats with the hostility...i guess the truth hurts...so are you saying there wasn't a major increase in foos sportin laker gear in 01 when lakers swept throughout and smashed philly in 5? and even more so after pulvarising jkidd and the nets for the 3rd straight? how bout when they signed malone and payton? wasn't there a major decrease in bulls fans after 98? i barely see anyone even rockin bulls mj jerseys unless they throwback fanatics (like myself)...i deffinently don't see anyone rockin any tyson chandler or marcus fizer jersey's, or how bout a hinrich? i don't think we'll be seeing many luke walton or b cook jerseys pop up around cali anytime soon either...

Thats real...the reason you dont see anyone with a Bulls jersey is cuz theyre now wearing their Shaq and Kobe jerseys

Sadly the bay area has to have some of the biggest bandwagoners ever..
Where the fuck were all these Kings and Laker fans filling the Coliseum 10 years ago. Oh yea, they were probally in their Bulls jersey when Chicago was in town.

Warriors pride!

Because thats *all* you talk about, in what seems like every post, bandwagon fans. I know there are many of them, some just came out from hiding and some jumped ship, but for the most part, I don't see very many, if any at all on this message board. WICKED, Sicc_Wit_It, caffeine, Alkohol Gone, and myself, as well as many others have been here for quite a while, even right after they were eliminated last year. You don't see no one wearing Bulls Jersey's because there are not that many Bulls fans, and I don't think there ever really was. You will always see people sportin' Jordan gear, fan or not, but I have never seen a whole lot of Pippen Jersey's even at the height of the Bulls sucess.

LOL @ Bulls fans being Lakers fans.

youll still have the clippers.
Can you name a single good reason to like the Clippers over the Lakers? Everyone has their reasons for liking a team, and supporting one just because they are successful doesn't mean you are a bandwagon fan. I started liking the Niners the year they beat the Bengals in the Superbowl, I started liking the SF Giants the year they played the A's in the world series, but because I have stuck with these teams ever since, I am not a bandwagon fan. The same goes with the Lakers, I started liking them because they were a tight team when I was young, and I have not looked back since. The Clippers? What kid (who doesn't live in L.A.) would take this team up? They don't air their games, they were not a flashy team, and they were not successful.

I remember when the Bay was all flamed up in Bulls gear. NBA championship Bulls versus Lakers and almost everybody was BULLS! Now it's Laker shit. What's next?......Atlanta Hawks, or maybe even Toranto Raptors....
