Ive been lifting for ah month now and built up some mucle pretty well but I was thinking that I could probly start fucking with some suplaments/vitamins that would help a lil more. Anyone know which ones really work? Do they still sell "creatine" I used to use that back in High School.

Muscle Milk is a good ass protein to take. I take it before and after working out. I've only been using it for about a month but have seen noticable results and am a lot stronger. Plus its a protein that actually tastes good.

Creatine is still widely available. I'm not a super pro on it, but I know it works. I took it in hs as well.

Protien powder - costco has a big ass 5 or 6 pound bucket for only like $20 + it has all of the amino acids in it that good for you. I also eat a lot of tuna for the protien, pasta to get the carbs...if you want to strengthen up use a lil less weight and do a lot of reps...if you want to cut up use more weight and do less reps

ive tried a lot of different supplements from a lot of different companies (ALL of them i use with milk and/or ice cream, as a milk shake, or similar drink etc. so i have no experience with other methods like bars), and the one im about to recommend is by far the best tasting and top of the line (ingredient wise) that ive personally felt like ive come across.

The brand is Cytosport and they know whats up with their products. They do have the 6 lb. "Ultimate Whey Formula" packages that are absolutely overloaded with shit. Those have a really heavy amount of certain substances in them like creatine and the like. But actually I feel that the "Muscle Milk" line of products is better for the standard weightlifter and has a more efficient ratio of substances in it that are beneficial. It has less creatine than the Mega-formula, but enough to help regulate it at a slightly higher level in your body. And the flavors themselves are fucking bomb.

heres my favorite one... I swear to god mix 2 scoops of this flavor in with Vanilla Ice Cream and some Milk, and youll never have tasted a better milkshake in your life, protein OR non-protein.

Heres the full list of Cytosport products that DPS offers (DPS has really good prices, if someone knows of a cheaper site for cytosport stuff, lemme know!)...

^^ once again, the muscle milk ones are probably the ones you want

stay away from creatine...all that does is surpress water & retain it in your muscle ( ei; hollow muscle, little strength.)

Use your normal 1 a day vitamins, & whey protien.
If you are looking to cut up, then use a fat burner like Muscletech hydroxycut

thats pretty much the best one on the market, that isnt gonna cause you liver or kidney damage.

Good luck....I'm 5 months out of the gym, & just getting back into it this month. So, the hydroxycut is working well for me, along with vitamins-
u sho bout that hydroxycut? i seen ads before long time ago and it seemed fishy to me. not hatin on it jus askin fo more info. it dont fuck u up in the long run? any bad things about it

I wouldn't waste my time with hydroxycut anymore - it used to be good, but since they've removed the citrus aurantium it's just an ECA stack without the ephedra - you'd probably be better off taking brindleberry.

Don't worry about using any thermogenic fat burner if your primarily interested in building muscle - only use them if you want to tone up and get cut. If you want to build muscle, then stick to pre-workout high-glycemic index supplements and post-workout whey protein isolate. I use MAX's whey protein - shits great but pretty expensive (1kg = $90 AU dollars, or about $70 US dollars). Also, it may sound strange, but before every workout I have a strong coffee - it does provide you with extra energy, but it's not for everyone. It has been shown to give some people headaches, rapid heart beat and shakiness, so if you have high blood pressure or heart conditions, then stick to the high-glycemic index substrates. One of the best post-workout carb sources are bananas - have one of those with your whey protein supplement to replenish muscle fuel and you'll be set.

Mucle milk is CRAP. try optimum nutritions whey or bio test's metabolic drive. t-nation.com has some good supplements and great training articals.

gnc is expensive try using an internet store

creatine is good. what happens is warter is takes creatine to your mucles , it works, just take 3 grams a day fuck loading, or have a diet of alot of red meat . if you'er taking creatine try drinking a gallon of warter a day , you should be drinking alot of warter anyway

fish oil are the shit THE best thing you can buy

i've been workin out like a beast, but i don't have much of an appetite, so it's hard for me to put those lbs. on

in that case try this. I used to do this when I was 19 lifting weights and trying to put on lbs...

after your work out get some hearty type meal and one of those store bought 1000 calorie drinks. They are not all chalky like the powder and dont taste as bad. like $3.50 each and 50 grams of protein.

Eat your hearty meal (like a super burittio from taqueria) and then wait til your finished. Dont drink anything during eating (it will make you more thirsty) then chase your meal with the drink. If you try to drink the drink first then you will be full. Try this type of suggestion.

Mass caloric intake is the only way to get bigger. Many things factor into the equation but the only thing that matters is the ratio between intake and what you burn.
