Webber could reunite with Nelson, Warriors

Word on the street says Golden State Warriors coach Don Nelson has been seen at Chris Webber's Natomas (Calif.) restaurant, Center Court with C-Webb, twice recently.

That only could mean Webber and Nelson are considering the completion of the ultimate full circle and a Webber return to Golden State.

They beefed big-time 14 years ago while both were with the Warriors, but perhaps it is true that time heals all wounds, even gashes.

I dont see how he fits. He doesn't seem quick enough to play in that system. Maybe if Nelson wanted to slow it down and have a big point forward to run a half court offense and go high low when Davis is sitting, but other than that I just don't see it. He should just sign a vet minimum deal to back up KG in Boston so he can get his ring and retire already.

isnt c-webb a choke artist?
I wouldn't say that. The reason the Kings couldnt get past the Lakers in the WCF was more to do with The Lakers being a slightly better team, Robert Horry's tradition of making miracle game winning shots and Peja as the choke artist. And don't forget that freak injury that required microfracture in that series. There was a pretty good stretch where C Webb was the most versatile big in the game. He still has excellent passing skills, can rebound and shoot the mid range j, but like I said, he doesn't really fit what the Warriors are doing.

terrible, i hope this doesnt happen..fool is garbage now
He's still better than the last two centers you guys had,but...

"if" he could run the court then i'd welcome it !!! but i doubt that can happen with his creaky knees !!!
...as it's been said, this is the big ? If he can't keep up with the pace of Warrior b-ball, then he won't be a good fit.

I still think he's got a few miles left in him, though.

webber would be a nice fit off the bench or for about 30 minuts a game. he would help or offense if we dont get a fast break. if we dont got a fast break then we settle into a weak half court offense and chuck 3's. we can give webber the rock on top of the key and let our midgets run around and get open. trust me webber at the 4 or 5 is better then pietrus/barnes/jackson at hte 4 or 5.

i cant agree with u anymore but it would be a cool fit just for the fact that GS has no real big man to rebound u saw what happened in the 2nd round when they played utah

I really wouldn't mind seeing webber come back.....the real question is can he run with the team tho.....but then again I don't think he really needs to, I mean you got hella other players running so he can just come down court and play half court if the opposition's defense gets set up.....I think he'd be a pretty good addition to the warriors bench

They can use his presence vs other teams who outsize and out rebound them. He'll definitely be coming off the bench if he were to rejoin the Warriors.
