Tulsa's not as bad as OKC though, theres quite a few OK state fans here too, but in OKC there all sooners fans, its like someone said, we dont have a pro team, and the Sooners are one of the most historic college football teams in history, so we all gotta chapionship calibur team to root for, and the South LOVES football, High school,Colege,Pro, even fuckin Arena, but maybe one day we'll get apro football team, and everyone will not take the Sooners so serious, but they'll still worship OU, even if we get a pro team though, and the hate for Texas football is that bad in this state

LOL yeah thats been discussed down here many times, but a lot of people want one, i know people who drive to Dallas or KC to watch a game, if we had one, it would sell out every game, no doubt, people just love football here they dont care what league it is, i mean fuck, were gettin a NBA team here, but Oklahoma could care less about basketball, it'lll be big for a few years and then, no one will care anymore, but if the NFL was to put a team here, motherfuckas would be goin nutts for that, shit, theres these 2 Highschool teams in Tulsa, there like one of the biggest rivalries in the country, Jenks VS Union, and they play at the Tulsa University college stadium its such a big deal, like 30, 000 people at a fucking high school game, its crazy how much people love football here

I'm not sure if I'm disagreeing with what you said, but have you ever been to an SEC football game? There are hardly any black people in the crowd in states that are 30-40% black. I remember thinking that last weekend with the College Gameday coverage in Baton Rouge for the LSU game, it was hundreds of white people going crazy back there, Louisiana is 36% and the team itself is over 80% black.

I do think it's a safe generalization to make that white people down there are a little crazier than black people when it comes to the fan thing.

PS I know the conference we're talking about here is the Big 12 not the SEC, but with the Big 12 South, it's the same thing.

I love my teams but i NEVER go to games...EVER.

Absolutely, there is a connection there between ticket price and makeup of the crowd.

Of course there are, but the key word is proportion. The plenty that you are referring to is nowhere near those groups representation in the general populations of those areas.
