Honestly, i just don't like how people are trying to be "America's Token Minority". Like, the house minority.
There is a SHITLOAD of tension between blacks and Chicano's in this country and it has to do with blacks thinking we're taking their positition as being accepted by Americans. It also has a lot to do with racist Mexican traditional upbringings that a lot of us get too.
Either way, we gotta be thinking on the same boat rather than going against eachother.

Reality says so. For instance the only musical genre regarded as a purely American form of music is jazz (which ever other form of American music is derived from) which was invented by <guess who>. Black fashion gets emulated by damn near everyone in America and sooner or later it becomes white fashion, similar to how rock & roll became white music over the years. Black slang is incorporated into damn near every American's vernacular. You have 45 year old news anchors making references to things like "baby mama drama" and using prases such as "back in the day," etc...

Music - jazz->rock->rap, all dominant American music has been influenced, stolen from, or dominated by Black poeple. Fashion - I shouldnt even have to speak on this one. We are the trend setters. Language - all the language that comes from us slowly trickles down into mainstream America until you have old white people using 10-year old slang. Sports - Nuff said (except for hockey, thats next!)

you blacks and mexicans in this thread are shameful. the blacks are proud because the only influential thing they have is rap culture and think it benefits them somehow even though they're the least educated minority group and have the highest unemployment rate. guess what? only whites are getting rich from it. you're not influencing nobody.
