It's March, though. If people weren't working and kids were out of school, it would have done better. The film cost 150 mil, but that low 55 mil it made isn't going to be a set back. By the time the foreign numbers come in, they'll have a larger cumulative amount made.

Box office sales are going to tank this week I think. I’m surprised and disappointed that it only opened to 55 mil and not higher.
way i heard it was that because of the run time of the movie it was hard for most theatres to have as many showings as they could have had the movie only lasted 1.5hrs.

That's a good point, but IMAX sold out shows all over the country for the weekend I would have thought would have driven the numbers higher.

I was betting on $62 + mil so I'm disappointed. I've got my fingers crossed it grosses more than $200 mil domestic now. If it can do $40 mil next weekend I'll be happy. I just don't think it will.

i thought the movie was kinda dope. Definently like it better cuz it was R-Rated. But what in the blue dick is going on. I wasn't feelin blues dick in every scene he was in. and only One side boob shot... gotta even it out a lil' bit more than that.

movie was shitty and boring. There was absolutely no suspense and thats not cause i read and knew the storyline.
Are you sure? Had you not read it...

SPOLIER

would have know what Adrian (sp?) was really up to? I sure the fuck didnt. I think there was no suspense becuase you HAVE read it. How can you be wondering whats gonna happe...if you already KNOW? Kind of defeats the purpose.

I think all of you that keep pointing out that there was penis in the movie must either be really immature or you are closet homos. I'm leaning toward a bunch of both being true.

You're a retard. Ten minutes of googling and you'd know it was a drama. Quit blindly buying tickets to advertised films without knowing anything about them.
You're a fucktard for assuming I didn't look into it. I checked out IMDB, it got an 8.5/10 at the time and genre was: Action | Drama | Fantasy | Sci-Fi | Thriller. What did the plot say? "When an ex-superhero is murdered, a vigilante named Rorschach begins an investigation into the murder, which begins to lead to a much more terrifying conclusion. " I didn't want to dig too much for fear of it might fucking it up for me, the advertising fucked it up for me. Superheroes in a Drama? WTF, who would have thunk?...

Good poiont and i agree...the martketing was misleading for this movie. However, L.D.S. was getting at the fact that it was an adapation of one of the well-known and celebrated comic books/graphic novels EVER. You could have gone to Wiki and checked the premise of the movie/graphic novel in further detail.

There's no way to prove you did any searching before you saw the movie.

the movie was alright for me. i didnt read the comic so i had the "i didnt know whats going to happen" thing going on so i guess thats why i wasnt so disappointed. but whats up with movies having more dicks than tiddies on em. I just watched sex drive and i was like "wow" a little too much there. but if mr.manhattan wore a thong during Vietnam, why couldnt he wear one during the whole damn movie. I do think that its fucked up how rorshach died tho, dude is a sav.

If I had read this bit before watching the movie I might have enjoyed it better.... I can see why they're coming out with a lil detail of what to expect. These negative reviews are killing them.

I need to watch the movie one more time, because the boredom and sleepiness of a midnight showing weren't working with my attention span
