I ordered the Wasabi Wii Mod Chip yesterday, and I'm reading the installation directions PDF from the website.

It has the directions put out, but I have a problem, they have different directions for different version of the Wii Console.

DMS, D2A, D2B, & D2C.

Haven't opened up the Wii yet, but if I did, is there a way I can tell which type I had?
Anyone know the difference?

Yeah, what the hell does it do?
I have a modded Xbox, and it is fucking insane. I got a 250GB HDD put in it so I could actually put things onto it.
About 9000 different games, and about 30 hours of adult swim shows and some movies.

A word of caution before grabbing your mod chip.

Make sure you KNOW have to Solder before trying to get one, or know someone who's a professional solder, because that's what you're gonna have to do to get the chip in. You don't want to end up wasting a ton of money on a chip, and fucking both the chip and your Wii.

Thankfully I have a friend who's a professional electrician and solderer, so he's gonna do it for free.

And for other people, depending on the version of your Wii (you can find out with the link I provided) you might end up paying up $150 just to mod it, depending on your version. If you bought one recently, a new version, it's probably a D2C, that will cost $150 to mod because Nintendo has made it harder to mod with the new version.
