For awhile he lost me when crossed from gangsta-shit to mostly playa-shit a few years back (or at lear that's the impression I got from the few things I was hearing).

I wanna hear his new shit though, is there any good reviews on The Truth, or can someone do a quick one?

I thought he fell off too but just listen to THE TRUTH....This is one of the tightest albums I heard in the last couple years...the beats are RAW...people saying his beats are weak......man please the beats on the truth are tighter than 95% of other rap albums today...

Spice 1 the Truth 9.5/10

peace

whoever says spice 1 fell off is smokin crack...his albums are not as good as they use to be cause of the BEATS period, he NEEDS better BEATS, his raps will never fall off i've been listening to him since 1993 and he still has the same flow his BEATS just suck, and he needs to stick to ghetto rap not no love shit
I totally agree with this. I havent been feeling his beats since after Amerikkkas Nightmare...

Spice-1 is far from a gimmick rapper. Yes the production isn't as tight as it used to be when Ant Banks was doing most of his beats. Ant really knows how to work with artists.

Spice-1/Spice-1, 187 He Wrote & Amerikkkas nightmares were str8 classics so they will be hard for him to compete with his own albums.

Spiceberg Slim,The Ridah & The Truth were good albums POINT ZERO. Dyin 2 Ball had some nice tracks on it but the label that put the album out was str8 garbage from sound quality to the orders of the tracks on the album. I cant belive how my favorite tracks on the album were wrecked "Candy Even Skips" WTF! Does anyone have a version of that track were the song doesnt skip or have hisses and ticks in it?????

I loved Spice 1 back in the day, but have not felt any cd from him since Black Bossalini. I know he sold at least 2 platinum and 2 gold, that's better than 40 and most bay artists. So why doesn't anybody put some money behind him or has he fallen off that much! My guess is that he was a gimmick rapper like Dike Jones. He needs to reinvent himself like Dre or Nickatina and come back where he started because I bet he still got spits. Anyway, if anybody knows him or has an opinion on this holler back and let me know what's up. One
Somebody needs to slap the shit out of you, better yet you need to slap the shit out of yourself for even mentioning Spice-1 and Mike Jones in the same sentence... Spice aint around because that nigga was bustin before ya momma let your listen to rap...

He won't ever be like the past Spice 1 because he's older. His interests and likes of beats and all that has changed most likely. Basically he needs a beef to rev him back up on that gangsta shit. He ain't no gimmick.
