The Golden State Warriors, who netted a $10 million trade exception from Charlotte in the Jason Richardson deal, can now become a major player in this summer's trade market.

The Warriors acknowledged speaking to the Minnesota Timberwolves this week, presumably about Kevin Garnett. Whether that means they can go after a player of Garnett's stature – and salary – while using the exception remains to be seen.

Branden Wright has bust written all over him. A 6-10 200lbs PF who doesnt rebound well cant survive in the NBA. And even if he puts on another 20lbs, hes going to be less athletic. Hes just a more decorated Hakim Warrick.

If the Warriors are able to land Garnet by only giving up Wright and Ellis they should consider them lucky. Garnet is one of the most sought out players in the league right now and he would help Golden State kick it up a notch. Can you imagine him and Baron Davis tag-teaming in the playoffs?

Do the Warriors want to win now or in ten years? And with what Ellis showed in the playoffs, the Warriors should trade him as soon as possible before he gets branded as a choke-artist. Garnet's 4-5 years would be much more valuable then 15 of Ellis's years.

I agree with you mane monta did not show me shit in the playoffs he's to small for the 2 guard and his jumper is to suspect but nelly kept him in the rotation in the playoff me personally I would have went with Sarunas Jasikevicius. But I like the trade for garnet for Brandan & monta I would do this trade in a heart beat

Dunno mayne.. I'm a bit worried with what Mullin is doin.. I really like Ellis even tho he choked during the playoffs.. he's still young and can only get better. Why can't we just rob KG from Minnesota just like how we robbed the Hornets for BD!? I can't to see what happens in the coming weeks with the KG lottory..

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA @ ELLIS BEING A FUTURE IVERSON!

Goddamn...that was a funny one; I spit cornflakes on my monitor.

Ellis isn't a 'star'...he's a decent player, who's had some good moments, but come on...Ellis and Wright for Garnett? That's a STEAL if it were to happen.

LOL...
