Streetfighter II
The Herald Sun reported that plans are underway for Jean-Claude Van Damme to star in the follow-up to 1994's Street Fighter. The original film was based on the classic video game, with Van Damme in the lead role and Raul Julia playing the film's main villain.
Van Damme in an interview about Streetfighter in Kung Fu Cinema: Yes we will be doing a sequel to Streetfighter. In my opinion, it is one of the finest movies of my career - lots of fun for everyone. It has [a] nice blend of action, comedy and even elements of the video game. We are casting now and some big names are interested.
Rumours that Holly Valance and Dolph Lundgren will star in a second Streetfighter movie seemed to be untrue. This is what I read on the offical Dolph Lundgren.com messsage board:

Dolph Lundgren: Thanks Oleg, No, there will be no "Street fighter 2" for me. Busy doing a new movie called "The Defender" in Romania right now. I'd love to make a movie in Russia. Maybe I can play a Russian fighter, a Russian ultimate fighter perhaps, about time I did it again. What do you think of that?
