I think some of you are hating just for hate's sake. I listened to the album, never hearing V-Boy spit before... and I got to say that he comes correct. There is so much bullshit in the Bay, and I think that this album is above all that. Is he Quinn or E40, no. But he's doing his thizz correctly and coming differently, and I could appriciate that and slump it. I do agree that the hooks do need some work... but fuck, most Bay Area artists hooks need some work.

alright. i listened to a few random tracks and they were decent. nothin' too special but no where near as bad as some of these cats is yappin' off at the tips. he's puttin' out albums. if he's sellin' units. more power to him. can't knock the hustle. as far as my constructive critism. the production was good on the shit i heard but the hooks weren't.

First off, I think V-Boy is far from weak...
this post seems to be a personal attack because when I don't like someone's shit I'm not going to make a whole post about it.
I don't feel all the beats on this album but I like his flow and i think his lyrics have alot of potential.
Another thing is this dude's hustle is long and I think he can go somewhere with that alone.
V-Boy: Keep hustlin', keep trying to improve yourself as all good artists do and never lose sight. If one person feels my shit then I did my job.

Where does the number 49 come from? 98% of what I listen to ain't shit, cause I don't go out and buy a bunch of rap albums and I don't listen to a whole lot of rap. Don't forget Tadou, I operate a record label, I get demos or I hear demos that other rappers, producers, and CEO's get. I can't name the people I hear, I don't care about their names unless the shit is tight...if I get a sample in the mail, or a demo, I don't care who it's from...I pop it in the CD player, if it's garbage that's where it goes...if it's tight then I'll look and see who it is.

Either way V-Boy, I thought your last solo was tight. It wasn't no san quinn or yukmouth shit but it wasn't meant to be. Everybody does their own thing. Some people gonna hate it some people gonna love it and some people gonna hate on the person doing it because they arent doing it.
The critics are putting your name out there and reading this thread there are several people that have gone to northernridaz.com to check it out. Who knows maybe some of them bought the album and you can thank the haters for that. Either way when I get some money the shit will be in the mail, I will probably grab it at madmusic.com or the sicc shop (if it has it) because they got other discs I want and the shipping rates are horrendous. If I get it before I read a real review, I will post up a 'no-holds barred' review. Equipto, I aint involved in the game, I don't work for a magazine but thats what makes reviews by people like me (as rare as they are, can't find the time) worth reading. I have no affiliations so I don't show hate or love unless their MUSIC calls for it. That isn't a dig at you, I understand how frustrating it must be for anyone in the game.
