How is this statement devoid of value but the ice cube statement meaningful?

Strawberry is a ho vs. Womankind are hos.

I'd say Snooops statement is more "insightful" or "meaningful" if you want to put it that way.

I don't know... I think Cmokes argument is valid... But a little misguided... While some rappers use words like 'Nigga', 'Bitch', and 'Ho' in a certain social context most don't... Example, when Ice Cube raps the line 'A young nigga got it brown 'cause I'm brown/ and not the other color so police think/ they have the authority/ to kill a minority'... He's clearly making a political statement... Now when Dre raps, 'It's still Dre day nigga/ AK nigga'... It's just gratuitous... He's not make any statement, political or social... Again when Ice Cube raps the line 'And everbody know/ Strawberry, Strawberry is the neighborhood ho'... Once again he's making a social statement... But when Snoop spits 'Bitches aint shit/ but hoes and tricks'... It has no redeeming value... It's just for show... I think the point Cmoke is raising is... If rappers are using those words gratuitously and no one cares, why can't the rest of us...?
First of all, several people have already blown holes in his argument, and since you want to be his answering machine, why don't you answer the question I have posed several times now?

Now for the next question, who said that no one cares that rappers use those words? Oprah had several people on her show after the Imus incident (Common, Russel Simmons, etc) and shortly after Simmons waged a campaign and asked for rappers to stop using bitch, hoe and nigga in their raps. Now, maybe some of you are highly misinformed, but ignorance should never be an excuse.

Again, when rappers use those words WHO reaps the rewards? Cmokes point falls into a ditch and is left for someone to throw the dirt on as soon as this question is asked. In addition, who is the number 1# consumer of such music?

I haven't seen anybody blow holes in that argument... Answering machine...? Nah... I think he has a valid point... Ummm... Oprah...? Don't watch her much... Russel Simmons...? Can't say I'm a fan... But if those two have issues with those words good for them...! I didn't answered your question 'cause I don't think it's relevant to Cmokes thread... But since you've asked... RAPPERS themselves reap the rewards... 50 Cent has made millions off of those words... He's laughing all the way to the bank... Hahahahaha... I'm sure some 'joo' takes a percent but ultimately it's 50 who benefits... If he were signed to Def Jam or Badboy (Black run labels) would that question be relevant...? I know White kids are the #1 consumers of such music but again I don't see how that relates to this thread...

You just happen to be at the wrong place, wrong time, so now you're an example.

I haven't seen anybody blow holes in that argument...
Like cmoke you lack fundamental comprehension skills, so I can see exactly why you wouldn't see the holes that have destroyed his position.

Answering machine...? Nah... I think he has a valid point... Ummm...
Yes, answering machine. Maybe you prefer something else like puppet or parrot?

Oprah...? Don't watch her much... Russel Simmons...? Can't say I'm a fan... But if those two have issues with those words good for them...!
Again, ignorance is no excuse and neither is your preference for Russel Simmons. The point is, you were attempting to make it seem as if no one has an issue with rappers using the language, so it was only right that I present you with the opinions and concerns of a rap icon and a media mogul that discredit your claim.

I didn't answered your question 'cause I don't think it's relevant to Cmokes thread...
What you "think" doesn't count for shit and doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things. Now it is OBVIOUS that several people here actually know it is relevant which is why several people have made reference. Aagin, I know your cognitive skills are basically snail like, but if you want me to explain why the question is relevant to this thread just ask and I'll tell you.

But since you've asked... RAPPERS themselves reap the rewards... 50 Cent has made millions off of those words...
And who made more money? The interscope execs or 50?

He's laughing all the way to the bank... Hahahahaha... I'm sure some 'joo' takes a percent but ultimately it's 50 who benefits...
No, ultimately it is the LABEL who benefits. Who is going to own the catalog? Who is going to get paid from licensing and adverts? Who is going to get paid from cd sales and iTunes? Yes, 50 will get his money, but the label will make MORE. Please, go pick up a book on music business before you spew nonsense.

If he were signed to Def Jam or Badboy (Black run labels) would that question be relevant...?
Badboy is a SUBSIDERY of WARNER BROS, and yes the question WOULD be relevant. However, YOU don't understand the question, so please just remain silent about music and the business aspect because you don't know very much about it.

I know White kids are the #1 consumers of such music but again I don't see how that relates to this thread...
Of course you don't see how it relates to this thread. You lack critical thinking skills, so I expect 99.9999999999% of what I type to fly over your head, bucko.

You are an idiot. Read the post again.

And who made more money? The interscope execs or 50?
If I am asking that question it is obvious that I agree that 50 is making money from it.

No, ultimately it is the LABEL who benefits.
Meaning, regardless of what 50 gets, the label will make more. Do you understand the word "ultimately" and its applicable uses in the english language?

And finally, the nail in the coffin and proof that you lack BASIC comprehension skills:

Yes, 50 will get his money, but the label will make MORE.
Now to provide you with a more specific answer, MANY rappers on majors don't even clear the red, and usually only see tour money, and have to split most or all of the publishing with the label. I'm sorry MTV and BET has fooled you into believing all rappers, especially those on majors, are rich and famous but that isn't the reality.

Now please, answer the question I previously asked you so I can continue to openly mock you and rejoice as you provide us with absurd answers and idiocy.

Come on man... All that arrogant bullshit is beneath you, you're smarter than that... I don't know how the hell you do that quote shit, so I'ma have to do this ol' school... My comprehension skills are just fine you're presenting a flaccid argument and you know it... I will however give you this... You're right, I don't know much about the music business but I was responding to a question you asked... I never brought it up in my initial argument... But unless you're an intern at Interscope or have read 50's contract you have no idea how the money he generates gets distributed... Anyhow... The point, you continue to side step is, why can rappers as Blackmen use the terms 'ho', 'nigga', and the like gratuitously but when Don Imus (or any none Black person) does it it's a no no...? That is all this thread is about sir... Fuck record execs, label bosses, Russell Simmons, music industry trivia, the consumers of rap music, and all the other irrelevant bullshit you brought up... Just answer the question...!

This is a loaded question.. Why do you think, and what does the answer have to do with "Black Men"? Why are you so focused on "Black Men", but not 50 Cent himself, or Interscope, or CBS. Ask Interscope why they're letting rappers get away with it, and if you have a personal problem, address the rappers, but what do your fallacious questions have to do with "Black Men" and Don Imus?

Come on man... All that arrogant bullshit is beneath you, you're smarter than that...
No, see you need to change a couple of words there. I am smarter than you and you are beneath me. Thats how your sentence should read. You were simply at the wrong place, at the wrong time, so now you have to ride it out. Don't take it personal, I simply have to make an example out of you. You aren't the first, won't be the last, and you're now part of a unique club. :dead:

I don't know how the hell you do that quote shit, so I'ma have to do this ol' school...
Cut and paste the desired text, select the wrap/quote function (it is directly below the REDO arrow ) and you'll be set.

My comprehension skills are just fine you're presenting a flaccid argument and you know it
Flaccid...a word you've used with your doctor countless times I bet. Listen, the argument is just fine, you simply don't have the ability to answer, and cmoke is doing a good job dancing around the question. In fact, he is doing such a good job he is afraid to post in his own thread and lacks the ability to defend himself. Again, if my argument is weak, why is it that several people here comprehend it and are now asking the same thing I am asking? I'll tell you why. Because you and your bed buddy don't make any sense, and his argument about what rappers are doing will take a nose dive as soon as he answers the question. As soon as he answers the question the "blame" will shift directly back to white people, and this is what cmoke DOESN'T want to address.

I will however give you this... You're right, I don't know much about the music business but I was responding to a question you asked...
And my question is derived from the statements and questions CMOKE asked. Do you now see how the questions I presented are pertinent to this convo, or do I have to explain it?

I never brought it up in my initial argument...
You didn't have to.

But unless you're an intern at Interscope or have read 50's contract you have no idea how the money he generates gets distributed...
First of all, I don't need to be an intern at interscope nor do I need to have read 50's contract to have an idea about how the money he gets is distributed. Why? Because 50 himself has been quite vocal about his situation, what his arrangement is, etc. In addition, most albums on major labels state in the inside who the publishing is going to, but because you're the next Einstein, you already knew that information. Am I saying I am in the mans pocket? No, But if we apply your fucked off logic 50 would be making more than the label and that is NOT reality. NO ARTIST ON A MAJOR LABEL IS GOING TO MAKE MORE THAN THE LABEL ITSELF. What the fuck do you think labels are in it for? To make others rich? No, they are in it to make THEMSELVES rich, BUT by making others rich, they can make themselves more rich. Again, if we apply your fucked off logic, it would be the same as a hoe making more than a pimp, a basketball player making more than the owner, or Cliffy B making more than Bill Gates. Please, take a GENERAL business class before you respond and make yourself appear to be another talking ass like the one from Shrek.

Anyhow... The point, you continue to side step is, why can rappers as Blackmen use the terms 'ho', 'nigga', and the like gratuitously but when Don Imus (or any none Black person) does it it's a no no...?
How have I side stepped the question when I've explained the difference several times now? Please, go back and read what was previously stated.

That is all this thread is about sir...
No that is NOT all this thread is about. When rappers were introduced to this thread it opened up the door for the question to be asked about label owners/execs and the responsibility THEY have. :dead:

Fuck record execs, label bosses, Russell Simmons, music industry trivia, the consumers of rap music, and all the other irrelevant bullshit you brought up...
No, they are very relevant, and the fact is several of those things would not have been mentioned if dunces like yourself had not made comments such as, "If rappers are using those words gratuitously and no one cares, why can't the rest of us...?"

Do you now understand? If you are going to make the claim that "no one cares" it only makes sense to disprove the claim by listing people who DO care. And what was your response? You back peddled and danced around your wacky claim on the grounds that you don't watch Oprah and don't care too much for Russel Simmons.

Word for the day: FALLACY.

Just answer the question...!

It has already been answered.

followers of cmoke? come on man, get off heresy's dick for a second and understand that because somone might agree with me on the certian topic at hand that does not entitle them to be a follower of me.....you're an idiot.

The point is that the double standard exists where if a white man says something even borderline he gets fired or thrashed out against in a public manner, people attack him like a blood thirsty pack of wolves that want PAYBACK.

Now a person of color makes a blatant racial remark or degrades a certian group of people and it goes without a care in the world, because prior ancestors of the white race acted how they did we white people now just have to sit back and take racial shit....fuck all that. If you're gunna be all over somones shit about saying nappy headed hoes, then you gotta be all over somones shit about saying fuck these white people, kill white people, fucking crackers, honkies etc,,,, ITS THE SAME THING. If you dont think so then you are a racist. Racism goes both ways.......not just one or two or three ways, it applies to all races regaurdless of what you think, and thats the point.

How is he on my dick? Several peopel here are blwoing holes through your nonsense and are questioning the purpose of this thread.

The point is that the double standard exists where if a white man says something even borderline he gets fired or thrashed out against in a public manner, people attack him like a blood thirsty pack of wolves that want PAYBACK.
Again, how is it a double standard when we are talking about two completely different forms of media and when one is talking about a SPECIFIC group of people while the other is making general comments? And who is attacking him like a blood thirsty pack of wolves? The sponsers are the ones who did him in, and if you listen to the link I posted, you'll know this actually runs a bit deeper than what he said about those girls.

Now a person of color makes a blatant racial remark or degrades a certian group of people and it goes without a care in the world, because prior ancestors of the white race acted how they did we white people now just have to sit back and take racial shit....fuck all that.
Where do you idiots get the idea that no one cares about the rappers and what they have said? The SAME Al Sharpton who called for the firing of Imus is the SAME Al Sharpton who called for the banning of 50 CENT cd's. What the fuck are you talking about cmoke? The SAME Oprah Winfrey who condemned Imus is the SAME Oprah who asked Luda to tone his lyrics down.

Where do you FOOLS get the idea that no one in the black community cares about what black rappers do?

And white people have been inflicting racial shit on the world for at least a millenia, so a day or two making an example out of Imus is a drop in the bucket compared to what blacks, hispanics and others have experienced at the hands of whites. In addition, if whites would TAKE RESPONSIBILITY for the crimes they have commited against HUMANITY, you would see less people coming down on Imus and calling for action.

Do you understand what I am trying to convey here? If so show me you understand by explaining what I just said.

If you're gunna be all over somones shit about saying nappy headed hoes, then you gotta be all over somones shit about saying fuck these white people, kill white people, fucking crackers, honkies etc,,,, ITS THE SAME THING.
They are on them cmoke. Back in the day when public enemy made comments about John Wayne there was a big fuss, and when Griff made comments about the so-called jews the entire group felt the heat (and griff was released.)

Don't make it seem as if blacks are getting away with all types of shit because that isn't the case.

If you dont think so then you are a racist. Racism goes both ways.......not just one or two or three ways, it applies to all races regaurdless of what you think, and thats the point.
Here is where I'll make you look like an idiot for the 12,900,897,345,367th time.

Define racism and racist.

EDIT: You quoted the man and STILL didn't answer his question lol.

Yes, anyone who follows any of your flawed reasoning is simply a brainless shadow. Being called an idiot by someone like you, is like being called a "Nigger" by an illiterate Nigerian.

You have no point, the point is that there are many double standards engraved in American culture and you have yet to perceive the bigger picture. Your selective type of argument sees to address a fully developed issue with out dissecting it from the root, up. How is it a double standard, whose fault is this double standard, can we change it by attacking those at the bottom of the totem, or the top?

Ok, but what is your point though? If whites and blacks are equally racist(which I don't buy), and racism isn't acceptable, yet blacks are the only ones you imply/accuse of reacting to racism against them(as it concerns other "races"), then what are you bitching about? Go bitch at your white friends about why they take so much shit, don't try and sink your deflated brain into the complex issues of the Black community.

See I was trying to lead him to that point, but as you pointed out, he does not perceive the bigger picture, and his selective arguments will prohibit him from adressing the root of the double standard, for as soon as he does address it (something he will NEVER do) he'll sink the bullet in his own argument and realize this thread is pointless and a waste of everyones time.

^Which is why he weasels his way out of every relevant question presented to him in order to save face and keep some type of flow going to his argument(or lack there of). Once he realizes that America's cultural legacy isn't and never was guided by a sub-section(hip hop) of a semi-impoverished and virtually powerless community(African-Americans), then he'll see the complete failure of his reductionist and pre-defined stance.
