No where close to the truth at all. I stay out of these threads but I just wanted to let you know that fab is on atlantic still. Kmel is 1 station out of many in northern california. Labels and other radio stations know why kmel is not playing fab music. its not becuz they dont like the songs its becuz a relationship went sour.
good to hear.

pay attention!

the first things that they ask you these days are, "do you get any spins in your region?" and "how many hits do you get on the web daily/weekly?"

Almost 99% of people with the power to sing artists will ask these two questions before anything else...then they'll check your soundscan numbers(with or without telling you) and see how many projects you've put out and why haven't you sold anything. When they see an artist that's sold in the hundreds on a lot of stuff, nothing is going to happen. That includes artist the "PRESENT" albums. They might not be directly a part of that project, but their name will be associated with the soundscan results.

So if Fab was to get dropped, I can see where the radio beef played into it. Also, his album that he just released didn't put up the numbers that a lot of people were expecting.
good post!

Keep voting for it on 106 and park.

Also, I for one will keep calling 106.1 requesting the track. Something has got to stop this destructive cycle in the Bay and get them to support their local artists. Now seems like a good opportunity to take back "The People's Station" and set in motion a paradigmatic shift. This track has the potential to do it.

who listens to the radio anyway?
Children with ADD and dumb ass club sluts who don't mind hearing Mariah Carey and T Pain played 75 times a day. You have to be a retarded chimp to sit around and listen to the radio. There are only 10-15 songs they play over and over and over, then you have to listen to nerdy ass "Dj's" try to act like they are gods gift to earth. A bunch of ex high school nerds.

Everything you said was true, but those people are the ones spending their money on albums and shows. People that really know about music usually download all their music;therefore, when it comes to music "business" no one gives a fuck about educated listeners. sad but true.

I'm probably gonna end up saying this in every thread on this subject. In Atlanta, Ludacris was a DJ first. Greg Street, who was on at the same time as him, played his songs, no problems. Not much to do with us out here, except that its easy to show what separates us from the regions that shine. Its not even that there is no unity, its that someone would go out of the way to make sure one of there own does not succeed. Everyone doesn't have to be buddy buddy, but this hatin shit seem to be strictly bay.
