I see. Our TV is four+ years old I checked my desktop monitor cable and I don't think the TV (or laptop) has that kind of connection.

Ha...our TV is four+ years old, laptop is less than a year old. It has an HDMI port so I'll see if I can get that shit workin. Props on the help/info!

if you're able to hook up that hdmi, you will get the same quality as your laptop. Because of my monitor/pc connection, the quality is better on my laptop than it is on my tv
