The Bay Area has some of the most creative dancers in the world. I've been all around the country and i go to school in tha south and the best dancers i've seen are in the bay area. Do you guys think that turf dancing would be noticed nationwide?

Turf dancing been around since the beginning. Back in the days there was struttin' group that rolled with the Black Panthers called The Black Rersurgence. They usually got tha party started.

But you can fast foward a bit to the early 80's and think of how big the Turf dances were. Hunters Point had their own dance, in Oakland brothas from the village had a move called the 69 or the 69 vill. (it sorta looked like the move LL Cool J did in the "Im Bad" video). If we bring it back to Frisco we gotta give J.D. Walker props for introducing us to the Get Low but before him brothas in Filmore had the coldest strut I've ever seen called the 'Filmore' or 'Filmore Strut'. My boy Rockefeller always represents that strut at any event.

I can drop a few more Gems on you but a good person to get the history from would be Pop Tart, He's a livin legend and still puttin it down.

hahah that post was tight

i remember my uncles from Brookfield (ESO) doin "The Brookfield" and even if u werent from brookfield that shit got hot again around the mid 90s

but the turf dancin they speakin on here is way different from these "steps" that anybody can do just by watchin other people do it

the "NEW"(i guess) style is completely different
