Dont forget I think a big addition is the chance for Alex Smith to have his own balls the NFL has a new rule were u dont have to have fresh out the box footballs...So hopefully those fumbles last year or in the past...

Heres is an article from 49ersnews.com about this.

One of the more puzzling aspects of quarterback Alex Smith’s first season in the NFL was his inability to keep his grip on the football. He fumbled 11 times in his seven starts, but on several occasions the ball slipped out of his hand.

In his first two road starts, the ball squirted away from him six times, resulting in one incomplete pass, four fumbles and one botched handoff. Moreover, Smith said that some of his incomplete passes during a 9-for-22 passing performance against the Seahawks were off target because the ball slipped as he was throwing.

But thanks to a new NFL rule, Smith does not have to be at the mercy of the footballs that are handed to him when the game begins. Now, both the home and visiting teams are allowed to prepare 12 footballs to their liking to be used when their team is on offense.

“The problems I had in the past with the balls were always on the road,” Smith said. “It’ll be nice to travel with our own.”

Like I said before...Antonio Bryant drops alot of easy passes. This was his problem in Dallas, and last year with us.

The papers were also saying that he lost focus from time to time during games.

We didn't even try to re-sign him.....

Beasley hasn't been playing as of late anyway. He's been riding the bench, so it wasn't much of a blow as far as I'm concerned.

And Arnaz Battle is garbage. That's all I can say about him.

The only downside I see in the offense is Kevin Barlow, and Nolan doesn't seem to want to let his ass go. He is the most overpaid and undeserving player on the roster, by far. Alex Smith is sketchy, but I can't and won't judge him until next season..

every where Norv goes he's built up there offense this is why he always remains a Head Coaching canidate..He is a proven OC but wack head coach.. Really anyone coaching the Raiders is going to have a tough time succeeding with Mr AL Davis peer over your shoulder...THe niners seem to be getting the piece's in place for a Norv Turner offense..

He's been in the league for a while now...he should know how to catch and focus during a game.

Either way...doesn't matter...he ain't on my team anymore.

Please...no 49er fan should even be trying to put any team down.

Don't be mad cause you have two cast-offs from our team that doesn't have anyone worth mentioning.

The last time your team was even decent was 1994. Before that they weren't any good since '88. Oh, and how many championships do they own again?

And who do they have that anyone sees as worth mentioning? Oh that's right, everyone who is or was worth mentioning left the team.

Season after season, year after year the Browns have played terrible football and will continue the tradition for years to come. But since the Niners have had bad seasons the past 3 years we shouldn't be able to put any team down? LMAO! SF is a fuckin dynasty, they will always come back. But the Browns? Come on.

4 Championships.

But really...you're missing my point. You can bring up the past all you want...point is...you guys suck RIGHT NOW. You have one of the worst teams in football RIGHT NOW. How many games did you win last year? The year before? And you have the nerve to try and put another team down?

I believe we have some solid players. I'm not even going to mention their names because it doesn't matter what I say. Am I really going to convince you otherwise? You'll just come back with some smart-ass remark.

Who the hell do you guys have anyway? Since you're so high on Bryant...let me ask you this. Why would a team so lacking in talent...not even try to re-sign the guy?

LMAO? I should be the one laughing. SF WAS a dynasty. IF SF IS a dynasty, then so are the Browns. We were in championship games just about every year back in the 50's and 60's. But that don't mean squat right now does it.

Just face it. The Niners suck.
