I put up the STATS in your Kobe vs. Lebron thread making you look like a damn FOOL, and you go and delete it!!! It's all gravy baby! I understand you just got pissed because the FACTS poke all kinds of holes in your little story saying "Kobe is 100% better than Lebron".

I'll just go ahead and re-post them all!

Lebron James 08-09 season averages: 28.4 PPG, 7.6 RPG, 7.2 APG, 1.1 BPG, 6.3 DEF, 3P% @ 34

Playoff Averages: 35.3 PPG, 8.6 RPG, 6.9 APG, 0.8 BPG, 7.4 DEF, 3P% @ 34

Kobe Bryant 08-09 season averages: 26.8 PPG, 5.2 RPG, 4.9 APG, 0.4 BPG, 4.1 DEF, 3P% @ 35

Playoff Averages: 29.8 PPG, 5.3 RPG, 4.4 APG, 0.8 BPG, 4.3 DEF, 3P% @ 35

the bold areas are the stats Kobe and Lebron are virtually equal in. Other than that, every stat from this season INCLUDING the Playoffs goes to King James, not the Black Mamba.

and I'll just go ahead and also quote Jerry West, the man who BROUGHT Kobe Bryant to the L.A. Lakers: "I do think LeBron has surpassed Kobe as a player."

but for the record, I fucking hate the city of Cleveland and would much rather live in L.A. I'm not even a "Kobe hater", like so many others. I'll give Kobe his dues, but I'm not going to blind myself and still believe Kobe is out performing Lebron James. Kobe has always been a strictly offensive cat, and Lebron does it on both ends of the floor. Sure, you want Kobe to have the ball in his hands before Lebron when it comes to offense, but I'd rather have Lebron guarding any other star player if he's got the ball in his hands trying to make the game-winning shot. You might also consider this: one or two years from now, Lebron could very well be just as good a closer as Kobe has ever been. Check the numbers, watch the games: Lebron James keeps getting better in every area of his game. He hasn't even hit his peak yet.

Other than being "the best closer in the game", Kobe has taken the back seat to Lebron. Just check the highlight reel.

You also left off SPG, which both are essentially equal in throughout their careers, reg season and playoffs....and TO's, in which they are both about equal in as well.

What about FT%? Kobe is a career 84%, whereas James is a career 73%. Lebron has missed a NUMBER of clutch free throws down the stretch, even in this CURRENT series.

What about FG%? So far, Lebron is a career 47%, with a majority of those coming on drives resulting in layups or dunks, yes (Lebron;s JS needs A LOT of work)? Kobe is a career 46%, with many of his shots coming from 12 ft and beyond, especially in the latter portion of his career.

Next time, don't use selective stats to prove your argument, please.

BTW, Kobe is a 7X 1st Team All-Defensive, and 2X 2nd Team All-Defensive.

GET OFF THEIR NUTS THEIR ALL SICC! KOBE, LEBRON, MELO, WADE, AND HOWARD. BOTTOM LINE THOUGH KOBE GOTS HIS CAREER TO BACK HIS SHIT UP WITH. ALL THE REST OF THE PLAYERS MENTIONED HAVENT WON SHIT EXCEPT FOR WADE. SO IN MY OPINION KOBE IS BETTER BUT MAYBE WHEN THE OTHER GUYS ARE 30 AND AT THE PEAK OF THEIR CAREER THEY WILL BE BETTER THAN KOBE WAS AT THAT POINT. BUT THEY STILL GOT A LOT OF WORK TO DO.

kobe should be better he has been in the league longer and has had better players around him

^ that's right, but Jerry West still says Lebron has passed Kobe as a player.

And y'all can refer Kobe's 3 championships all you want, but you put Lebron, Wade, Melo in the same position with the same players and they win it just as easy as Kobe did.

Like Magic said "I always had an easy feed to Kareem down low, one of the best big men to ever play the game. Kobe had an easy feed to Shaq down low. Lebron doesn't have that"

What does one mans opinion matter? There are countless others that think Kobe is better. Big fucking deal. If Jerry West said otherwise it would be a case of "His opinion don't matter because he brought Kobe in.."

And y'all can refer Kobe's 3 championships all you want, but you put Lebron, Wade, Melo in the same position with the same players and they win it just as easy as Kobe did.
That is only a guess. You want to assume they would win those titles but there is absolutely no certainty. Shaq would not have won those titles without Kobe, Kobe without Shaq, LeBron with Shaq, blah blah blah. Shaq and Kobe are two great players who were paired with one another, something that has happened throughout history. Magic and Kareem won 5 NBA titles together, should we discredit one of them because the other was so great, and that you could have "probably" slipped a different player in there and "they would have still won.." Further, you say "you people.." when really most of the people in here are citing his defensive skills rather than rings, which you have conveniently skipped over.

Like Magic said "I always had an easy feed to Kareem down low, one of the best big men to ever play the game. Kobe had an easy feed to Shaq down low. Lebron doesn't have that"
Jordan didn't have that either :dead:

Jerry West's opinon matters cuz he's known as the greatest evaluator of talent of any sport. During draft time if Jerry is lookin @ somebody, everyone else follows.

Come back when you start hearing MVP chants towards Lebron from opposing stadiums....
wtf does that have to do with anything? :ermm:

that's not because fans of all teams think Kobe is MVP

it's because there are bandwagon Lakers fans all over the country

Lakers have a much larger fanbase than Cleveland... so you're much more likely to get a large number of Lakers fans in an opposing stadium

That maybe so, but the NBA is the biggest "star driven" pro league in all of sports. No other league promotes individual players like the NBA does.
