even back in the day, I never understood why he called himself Busta when Busta is a derogatory term.

BustaRhymes = Bust-A-Rhyme

It's not that hard to understand.

Crazy how 50cent only been in the rap game (nationally) since 2003 and he is in there with dudes who been in the game since early 90's, late 80's....

Yeah, 50 is a smart business man, ill give him that. I thought the exact same thing especially comparing him to em's money. but i feel em was never about getting all the money he could ever have, he just wanted to be comfortable, based on his lyrics, thats the vibe i got, this is some evidence of that. I would have also thought Master P would have blown his dough but it looks like hes made smart investments away from the spotlight himself.

The rappers at the top of that list made most of their money from other ventures in business. Plus, I'd also say that any on that list that have 360 deals aren't going to see much of an increase from those numbers.

50 cent = 250 million??? I think this list is a little off, I don't see 50 making more then Dre and Eminem, they both have sold as much as him and for the longest got a cut of everything he made.

Forbes 2012 has 50 cent at 110 million.

Didn't know Master P was still a fore runner. But hey he was pretty business savy good to know he didn't pull a MC Hammer.
That's simply yet another confirmation of the fact that the real money in the music business are not in making the actual music but in controlling the people who make it.
