A lot of dope bay albums have already been mentioned, so I wont repeat the same shit again

But I'm surprised no one here mentioned that new Czarface album. I know that gritty sound won't appeal to everyone here, but in my opinion every track was off the damn chain.

I also saw nobody mention Apathy's Weekend At The Cape EP, which had some pretty nice tracks.

As for the south, Paul Wall's new CD was surprisingly good; a definite improvement over that Po Up Poet album, plus this one features a dude I know everyone here loves - Husalah! K-Rino's new CD was also pretty solid, but not quite on the same level as Deprogrammed IMO. I know a lot of folks liked Deeply Rooted, but I thought it was overrated and Scarface's worst album to date. Most of it felt like another pop chart hip hop album (maybe not that bad, but definitely far below what he's capable of). I think it's probably mostly due to the production and overall direction of the album. Despite that, it still had some nice tracks.

However, another immensely popular album I can't say the same about is Compton AKA the most disappointing and overrated album in west coast hip hop history. I know I'll rustle a LOT of jimmies by saying that, but I felt that it was a poor and confused effort.

Overall, 2015 brought some of the worst so-called "hip hop" ever created (Young Thug, etc) and further saw the continuing degeneration of the genre in the main stream consciousness. However, a lot of very very memorable gems dropped this year on the underground scene, including a lot of the classic bay albums I didn't even mention (High Times, Snake Eyes 2, Legal Business, etc).

Personally, my favorite album of 2015 was the Mobfather 2. But that's just my two cents....

EDIT: Top ten list:
1. C-Bo - Mobfather 2
2. Czarface - Every Hero Needs A Villain
3. Luniz - High Times
4. Mac Mall - Legal Business
5. K-Rino - Makin Enemies
6. Killa Tay - Snake Eyes 2
7. Paul Wall - Slab God
8. Apathy - Weekend At The Cape
9. Paris - Pistol Politics
10. Ghostface Killah - 12 Reasons To Die 2
