TONE MAPPING

That one is cool, everyone is tone mapping now. When over done it looks whack but thats nice and subtle.

See that came out clean looking at the difference, very nice it really brings out the detail in the photo. What app did you use?

photomatix and cs2 with a very very light touch of lucis

how do you do tone mapping?

and can you do it on cs3?

looked it up on google, and it seems pretty simple to do in photoshop without any other programs

bracket your photos (1 over exposed, 1 neutral, and 1 underexposed) then you use the details from the two bracketed photos to enhance the neutral one, gotta use a tripod or it wont look right, haven't fucked with it much myself but I think it's time

was that the neutral pic you posted as the before image? or did you do something different?

How do you tone map without merging? Only times I've been able to do it was after merging into hdr.....or is it cuz in photoshop you need tha bracketed photos?

when i do my tone mapping.. i use my histogram.. tweaks lights,shadows,black,highlights. then i tweaks my colors...
