the tutorial said u need 3 diff raw shot at diff exposures,what i did was copied the file 3 times and opened all of em in the photomatix program,cuz al i had was single raw shots,and then tone mapped it and processed it.at first i would chane exposure in photoshop for the 3 pictures,but i dont it would of made a difference to be honest

From what I have seen Photomatix can tone map from one raw image... but I don't have the software to even mess with it. I understand the concept of bringing out hidden details at different levels then blending the images together using blending and masking.. seems like you can do it manually in photoshop. I wish I could do tone mapping though because the photos look good, but I don't even have a good camera that takes RAW images.

i tonemaped sum stuff from a regular digital camera and it looked really good,i had really good lighting

That ones clean, would you be able to screen cap your settings? I can never get the subtle change like yours, I always get the over processed dramatic look
