I had a response ready just in case it was me. Now that I know its me I can post it. Enjoy!
I dont believe the burden is ever on someone regarding whether or not they may be "healed".
Did you not read when I said, "If you believe there is a God wouldn't that be his choice?" If you can scour the net for pics of Vulcans and exploited women, you can spend a bit more time reading these posts instead of trying to live up to your "devil" persona.
J said he believes people should take responsibility for themselves, and I agree with him 100% in this aspect. Instead of praying to God to loose weight he went out and lost the weight by excercising and eating properly.
If it is God's plan it is God's plan, and questioning someone's faith, or asking them if there are reasons why something did or did not happen to them is pulling the cart before the horse.
Actually, you should be directing this at J instead of myself. He was the one who first asked WHY God didn't do this or why God didn't do that. I told him I don't know why and said, "it would be wrong to do so", so what the hell are you talking about?
When I was a Christian, my belief was that you pray for God's will to be done, you ask what you might ask, and leave it at that, always praying first and foremost that God's will be done. Attempting to point the finger at this or that factor in a persons life or this or that thing they believe weakens faith and is counterproductive. It may lead to a cycle of shame or guilt, which I'm sure the God of the Bible would not want.
The fact that you are an apostate telling the board about what the God of the Bible would not want is comical. Here it is you were crying out to God on your death bed, and being self serving, but now that you are o.k., God doesn't exist. Wouldn't the same God call you an apostate and toss your corpse in the lowest depths of hell for rejecting him? Oh yeah, "well hell can be interpreted anyway blah blah blah", and "who says God is blah blah blah and scriptures are yada yada yada", yeah...whatever...
Again, no one is pointing a finger at anything because I previously said, "I could say your father has sin in his life that prohibits a healing, or I can say it simply isn't time yet, but that would be guessing and
it would be wrong to do so."
I don't know why his father is not healed and don't know why an undeserving apostate such as yourself was not allowed to succumb to cancer. Maybe it is so you can have a better seat in hell, but who knows? The only thing I am saying is to stop questioning God and viewing things in a negative light when you can count all things joy and look at it as glory for God.
And as far as people rebuking sickness, ails, or problems, I had strong views on this as well. Who is anyone to rebuke what may be God's plan?
You don't even believe in God, why are you rambling on about it? No one can rebuke Gods plan and people going on about healing tangents and how everyone is supposed to be healed by toe tapping and finger snapping is an idiot.
If Gods plan is to humble J by working through his father, that is Gods plan, and no amount of praying and hollering is going to change that.
