lol, at how u think it's "funny" but ALOT of folx got OFFENDED. maybe thats y u don't think he shoulda got fired, u think?
oh t-spoon here we go again. yes i do think its funny and im sorry if other people get offended. but could it be possible, if you break it down, that maybe their reason for being offended is not such a good one? go back in history and look at all the silly things people used to get offended over and decades later we look back at and just laugh at the fact that certain things were considered so taboo. but even that could be irrelevant because, could it also be possible that we shouldnt crucify every person that verbally offends alot of others. i personally hate mainstream rappers and the message they send out to the masses (and so do alot of people) but i would never suggest that they be forcefully ejected from tv and radio time. we're beyond that. straighten.

minorities are the "oppressed" nowadays. there might be alot of minorities that are racist, but we are not in power. whites are in power so therefore they need to be EXTRA careful about wut they spew out. carry on. fold.
if anything, whites should maybe be more accountable for distribution of resources and power. REAL ISSUES.
as far as how we make fun of each others artificial physical differences, or socially created stereotypical differences, thats not something i (or anyone, in my opinion) should take so serious. its like the kid that throws a temper tantrum because another kid calls him dumb dumb head for not getting the right answer.

No Atlantic dosent control T.I. bc He got 100% creative control over his music and what he says just like 50 Cent, Cam'ron, Busta Rhymes and some others
atlantic is owned by warner bro music, which is believed to still be partly owned by time warner. maybe im wrong, but if ti excercised his "100% creative control" in a way that affected big corporate money, i strongly believe he wouldnt be apart of atlantic much longer. ie: (and i know this would never happen but it works) pretend ti became like the 5th guy in this big sudden trend of american musicians to preach in thier music that we boycott watching certain channels, buying certain products etc. all or some of which are big money making assets for time warner. and it works, and profits start going down for them. then ti would learn what "100% creative control" really means, when time warner executives pay a visit to the atlantic studios.
but of course this wont happen because ti only talks about drug dealing, having money, etc. which isnt enough to get enough of the right people riled up. even if he made a song about how women are nothing but hoes and sluts, as long as the beat knocks, girls wont do shit about it:
girl - "he aint talking about me" [as she grinds on some guy to the lyrics "dumb hoe slut bitch"]. same girl after being asked about the imus situation - "fire that racist white boy!"
