Real Producers don't work for free. It may appear to you that nobody is fuckin wit him, but the fact of the matter is HE ain't fuckin wit nobodies... figure it out mayne. I'll tell you this... he's far from retired. In fact, I heard it from a VERY reliable source that he and the Konglomerati are currently working with one of the top grammy award winning R&B artists in the world right now, as well as a someone many would consider to be the greatest rapper of all time...

Interesting thread.....

The problem is not who's got what program, who's garbage...ect. ect. cause alot of that just depends on your point of view.

Fans dictate everything. If you dont wanna hear "garbage" then simply dont listen to "garbage".

As a kid before fruity loops, reason...ect. I couldnt afford an MPC (still can't) much less any other over priced hardware. If you know how to use it correctly then software is a blessing....pretty much any creative idea I have in my head I can translate to production and then edit it until its perfect.

Fruity loops or any other program is just another tool in the shed.

A shitty guitar player could have the best guitar and amp in the world...that dosent mean he could play anything good on it.

A dope guitar player could have the shittiest guitar in the world and probably still bang out something worth listening to......thats the difference.

You cant respect the Bay for our independant hustle and then knock these youngsters for trying to make shit happen even if they aint that great at it.

BTW....alot of the music out now is trash in my opinion as well so I just choose not to support what I dont like. Like someone had said, the cream will always rise to the top. Who ever doesnt really, really have the heart for this game will eventually get lost in the sauce.

The bay needs to tuck its ego in and stop thinking that everything we touch is hot. It don't work like that. We been makin a whole lot of garbage lately and trying to convince ourselves that were being overlooked. This lack of objectivity stems from the fact that instead of attempting to put out a solid, well produced, quality controlled product, were putting out any and every track thats made (most of the time purely for monetary gain). All these compilations, features, and mixtapes have watered down our potency. But while the rest of the world is still trying to figure out what happened to that Bay sound they have come to know and love, were out here drowning in our own self congratulation and arrogance. The record buying public is way too savvy nowadays. Nobody is going to waste their hard earned money on sub-par production or watered down 16's. Bay Area artists and producers need to stop runnin' around claiming how nice their shit is. It aint YOUR job to decide that. Leave that to the critics and the record buying public, or anyone else that is not you... You should be using your energy to create some quality original product. Just remember that every track ain't for prime-time and many don't even deserve to see the light of day...
