Congratz Dana!!!!!!! Let us know what magazine it is!
There are a lot of things I'm proud of like, helping my mother back to a 100% recovery after brain surgery in 1999. Caring for her since & up until she passed this past July. Feeling no regrets and content with knowing I did everything I could.
Opening my door to find an old man standing outside asking if I had food. I let him in, my wife & I fed him. He talked & joked with us for about an hour. Claimed to of been walking for close to 30 days from Mexico hitchhiking here & there and was on his way to the Napa Valley to visit his son. He also said, our house was the first & only door he had knocked on after standing on the corner & looking at everyone's home on the block.
We made him extra food for the road, gave him multivitamins and a little money & he walked out the door.
Literally two seconds later my wife looks at me & say's, "Maybe you should buy him a bus ticket to Napa." I quickly opened the door to call him & he was ghost. I went outside, jumped in the car drove around the block & nothing. There is no way he could of hid or blended in anywhere. Where we live is open and you can see for a long distance. If somebody walked out the door and started to walk down the street you could spot him / her quickly. Not this old man, he disappeared once he stepped out my door. To this day, I'm stumped on what happened. Yet, proud that I opened my door to him.
One of the other many things I'm proud of is donating time to a nursing home by visiting the elderly residents at least twice a month with my weenie dogs Jada Pinkett Smith & Doob the Tube. The elderly people love the attention & it makes me feel good.
I'm also proud to be one of the biggest assholes you'll ever meet LOL!
Jada Pinkett Smith & Doob the Tube.
