Name some things that are normal everyday things we use but when you really think about how they work it trips you out.

I got this idea last night watching some history channel thing during WW2 and the equipment they had to use then. I started thinking about my cell phone and I started trippin on how the fuck dose my voice and words get all the way up to a satellite in space and shot down to a cell tower and then to another phone in milliseconds while at the same time millions of other phones are doing the same thing to the same satellite. Then I started thinking about the phone, how dose my voice carry from my phone to a city hella miles away like me and the other person are in the same room.


Anybody got something that gets you thinkin like that?

It doesn't trip you out if you think about or know how they actually work

REE what you said - I believe that the voice of your human sound gets transferred into cell phone and it sends your voice to a communications company (then, transferrs to an antenna and it has input and output) through the satellite and hit the another cell phone or without hitting the satellite through the another individual's cell phone.....it's all about transmission waves through the air, like an "invincible wire" you could call :)

I think buildings are kind of funny. Its like we have recrafted natural things like wood and rocks into shelters that protect us from the environment. Plus we have really tall buildings. Then htere is roads, its funny that humans make roads that connect every small dwelling to all the others. You can drive from Alaska to Chile all on the same network of roads...

Computer chips are another thing that trip me out.

How the fuck dose this little chip creat all these different interfaces on the same screan just by running little electric pulses 1011011011. And how the fuck dose this computer shoot to another computer and pull information from another computer in seconds. That's some crazy shit.

It amazes me that there aren't more car accidents than there already is. I mean, I've never crashed my car before, but Ive tripped over my own feet hella times. How do we do it?

Yup, nuthing is more complex. And if you think about it alot of what we do might have been or could have been discovered by just studying the human body. How our cells work, (cell comunication, nerve impluses). How society works can also be compared to shit t hat goes on in our bodies. There are protien that make everything we need, proteins that digest food, turn it into ATP energy we can use, proteins that help carry stuff to where its needed and protieins that help transport it into the different compartments of the cell...list goes on and on.
