For several reasons:
One to showcase my artist to these labels who are already checking for us, to show them what we will do if we have the production and marketing push of their companies!
Also to try to make our Bay Area Djs as big as these East Coast Djs. So They can get deals like Flex and Clue and put other Bay cats on who need to be. Thats why our mix tapes will always be done with a Dj Vol.1 Mind Motion, Vol. 2-Dj Apollo, Vol. 3. Big Von & Scotty fox, etc etcm all being worked on as we speak! Really and truely we have been working on our mix tape since Jan of 2002 Welcome To the Bay was the first single from it, and when you hear it we kept having to do new songs to update cuz we were busy working on our own albums Mind Motion was busy so thats why you will hear such a variety of songs we rapped over but its all fire we dont really date our music. I mean Mind Motion was announcing our mix tape in jan of last year before anyone released one, but due to everyone doing it i really didnt want to do it any more we were asked by the Djs to do this and They are all backing us to get a deal, so we can rep it RIGHT! When anybody comes to town they ask who got it locked out here and the Djs say Done Deal We need that support to make it cuz its an ugly game right now we are just trying to follow in the footsteps of people that are winning 50 got his deal off mix tapes and countless others. But you will see the difference when you hear our shit, & hopefully it will get to the right ears but we will have like 4 songs of there getting spins!
