The Passion of the Christ....

I know this ain't the right board but most cats come in here.
Who's gonna go see this flick from these boards?

I didn't think much about it until all these Jewish folks started bitching a storm over it. Anti-semetic my ass, the story is almost 2,000 years old. Why is it anti-semetic now?

They're afraid this movie's gonna touch people's souls and it's gonna change lives.

Heck, I'm gonna go see it just to piss the Jews off.
(I have nothing against Jewish people, they are my friendly neighbor. However I have something against ignorant assholes)....

Monday night I was able to see that movie & man I'm still tripping on it. This was made like as if it was being read from the bible. I was afraid that once "HOLLYWOOD" would get a hold of it it would candy coat it or switch up the doctrine but man Mel Gibson followed the WORD perfectly. I have to admit through through out the whole movie I was biting my tongue almost wanting to curse at the screen as they were torchering HIM. It's very personal when seeing on the screen the one who saved us, changed us, gave us a new life & died for us being beaten like that you feel so personal toward it. It made me realize that I can be doing so much better & can be doing so much more for Christ. I know many lives will change from this awesome movie!! You gusy should definetly see this....God Bless

Good short review Brother Ig,
it's what I wanted to hear.

Damn only 3 people so far?
I think everyone should go see this movie, even if you don't believe in the scripture. You'll learn something from Jesus's philosophy at the very least.

I'm not religious what-so-ever, but just because all the controversy has sparked over the movie, it makes me wanna see it even more. I have a feelin' it'll be quite interesting despite the fact I've never even picked up a bible... The whole moving will be a learning process....

i don't think mel gibson's intention was to cause controversy with this homie, just my opinion, but i really don't see that through this film....

on a side note, did y'all hear that jim caveizel (spelling) the guy who plays Jesus in the movie, got struck by lightning while he was on the cross? He also dislocated his shoulder while carrying that heavy cross.

i don't know how accurate a story where they depict Pontius Pilate as a good guy is...

Al Capone and his mob used to boss around the italians in chicago...
does that mean all italians were like Al Capone?
no, same thing with the so called "Jewish King" at the time...

he was a roman in jews clothing...

with so many variations of the bible...so many stories told different ways...

i can't see this as an accurate movie...
and i grew up catholic...

some of the scenes in the movie(from what i've heard, the gory ones) are from a popular writing of the bible by a german nun, who called the jews"the scum of the earth"

whatevers what ever
i don't think Gibson is anti-semitic. or hoping other people to be...

just see it how i see it
but i am looking forward to seeing it, hopefully it's a good movie

Jesus was a great prophet

not to turn this into a religious argument, but throughout all the gospels in the new testament, the story is the same. There are a few differences, but the story is the same. From what I've heard, it is a pretty accurate depiction of what is in the bible, and there hasn't been a movie that really shows how intense the crucifixition of Jesus really was, as it describes it in the bible, not even close. The movie doesn't seem to try and put Jewish people on blast, but to me, it kinda comes with the territory. The bible is God's word, plain and simple. The Jewish people were the chosen people, and they didn't believe in the one that God sent, and if that in turn ends up in hatred from people here and there, I honestly believe that they are still getting off easily. But fact is, all of that is not that important. Jesus died on the cross for all of our sins, not just the Jewish peoples lack of belief. So how could I hate a Jewish person for something I'm guilty of too. It was God's plan to die on the cross for our sins, plain and simple
