id take the titans d over the steelers d anyday of the week at this point....thanks

The only way I'll hear something more retarded today is if the words are "John McCain has won the presidential election".

Steelers D is fucking incredible. The way they played against the Skins could be one of the best defensive performances I've ever seen.

What I'm worried about is our offense:
-Leftwich made quicker decisions than Roethlisberger
-Our line can't pass block
-Roethlisberger takes about 15 seconds to make a read, and thinks that since he evaded a few tackles over the year, he now has the right to take his time. Unless you're Donovan McNabb playing against Dallas, that just isn't true.
-Nate Washington can't catch
-Holmes played the first half like he was still high
-Roethlisberger played like he was smoking with Holmes
-Heath Miller's ankl is fucked up
-Mewelde Moore is better than Willie Parker, who has never been good to begin with
-And thank God for Hines Ward

If you wanna talk about the Steelers being an elite football team, first the offense has to play the way it played against Houston, and not the way its played against everyone else (especially in the passing game).

But our D is something special.

Where did I say that?

If the Steelers had an offensive line, we'd be 8-0 too. The best record in the NFL isn't the same as the best defense in the NFL. It's good to have a scoring D. I think its even better to hold a team to 0 3rd down conversions by the third quarter. Its harder for the D to score points when its too busy keeping the opposing offense off the field. Personally, its up for argument and there's no right answer. All I'm saying is, I wouldn't take the Titans D over the Steelers D "any day of the week". Especially if that day is a Monday.

I think if the Steelers played Minnesota, Kansas City and Green Bay instead of the Giants, Eagles, and Redskins, we'd probably be the top scoring D also.

thats pretty dumb to say considering all the teams pretty much sit theyre starters thats week, to prepare for the play offs, which as of right now looks good for both of the teams.
How is that dumb???
I doubt neither Tennessee or Pittsburgh will sit their starters if Home Field Advantage is up for grabs that week...

Roethlisberger has MRI, status uncertain
Associated Press

PITTSBURGH -- Ben Roethlisberger underwent an MRI exam Tuesday on his injured right shoulder, and the Pittsburgh Steelers won't know if he can play Sunday against the Colts until they get the results.

Roethlisberger, whose throwing shoulder was slightly separated in the first game of the season, was injured on a quarterback sneak near the end of the second quarter of Pittsburgh's 23-6 victory in Washington on Monday night.

Roethlisberger did not play the rest of the game. Byron Leftwich, in first extensive action for the Steelers, replaced Roethlisberger to throw a touchdown pass while leading two TD drives in the second half.

If Roethlisberger can't play, Leftwich would make his first start since last Nov. 18 with Atlanta.

Roethlisberger has started 38 of the Steelers' last 39 games, missing only a season-ending loss at Baltimore last season that didn't affect the team's playoff position.

Well it looks like Leftwich will get to start, I will be watching colts v steelers game instead of the panthers v raiders rapefest :/
