Houston is actually a good squad this year. I'm def hoping for a W obviously but like others stated for some reason some how, Houston always handles us n they are actually a respectable team this year, for now atleast..

Houstons offense has always been on point. Always puttin up huge numbers. It's their DEFENSE that always hurt them one way or another. But this year they signed Jonathan Joseph n drafted some good CB's so they are addressing their weakness. Last year their DB's were horrible n pretty much losing games for the texans.

Either way I'm hopin we go home with a W n play vs winnable teams the next few weeks at home.

Would love it if we go 6-2, more realistically 5-3 by week 8.

I know I said I wouldn't get on McClain anymore but he's been MIA. He's nowhere to be found when these scrub as running backs are guttin' us.
Yea he's been making your dline look bad. They crash the gaps and make sure McClain gets the one on one matchup with the RB and he always seems to get washed up or burnt at the line of scrimmage. Only upside I see about this guy is he just hit 22 years old. So its too early to count him out. Everyone knows what happened with McFadden.

Yeah that's a good point, that's why I thought we should've drafted Spiller. But I was wrong about that obviously....

fuckin pats. isn't moore a local bay area cat? i seen him on twitter yesterday saying he had a big announcement today, i thought he was gunna resign with us but fuck it.

we need a big adjustment on defense. the front 4 cant get to the qb everytime, i dont think we blitz enough.
Yeah, Moore went to high school in antioch, same high school as Taiwan Jones. At least I think so because my boys brother told me he went to school with both of them

We need to score 28-30 points to beat the Texans. I never wish injury on any player. One of the Patriots got hurt this weekend and everyone was cheering. I was like WTF? With that being said, I am not mad Andre Johnson is out for this game.lol

Wide receiver Louis Murphy was back at practice Wednesday for the first time in more than two months, and while there's no guarantee he'll be ready to go when the Raiders play in Houston on Sunday, his return will soon add another wide receiver to a crowded position group.

"He looked good," Raiders coach Hue Jackson said. "He ran around. It was his first extended practice, so we'll get an idea of how he feels tomorrow and go from there."
Murphy is the Raiders' most productive wide receiver over the past two seasons with 75 receptions for 1,130 yards and six touchdowns. He last practiced Aug. 1 and eventually had sports hernia surgery.

It will be interesting to see how playing time is distributed once Murphy joins fellow receivers Jacoby Ford, Darrius Heyward-Bey, rookie Denarius Moore, Chaz Schilens and Derek Hagan.

However it works out, Moore, with three touchdowns in his last three games, will get plenty of action.

"He's not in danger," Jackson said. "You earn what you get and get what you earn. All those other guys are back, and they'll earn their time -- they're good players. We'll give them opportunities as we continue to move forward. But they have nothing to do with Denarius Moore."

Defensive end Matt Shaughnessy, who injured a shoulder against the Jets on Sept. 25, did not practice and remains day-to-day. Jarvis Moss, who started in Shaughnessy's place, suffered a chest injury at practice and his status is not known.

If both are out, it means practice reps and possible game reps for Lamarr Houston and Trevor Scott, who normally work on a rotation basis opposite the side of Shaughnessy and Moss.

Safety Michael Huff was limited in practice Wednesday after missing the first game of his career, Sunday against New England, with concussion symptoms.

"I think he is getting there," Jackson said. "We're much closer to having him back out there permanently."

Huff was limited in practice last Wednesday as well but missed the Thursday and Friday practices.

Other players who were limited included quarterback Jason Campbell (foot), fullback Marcel Reece (ankle), cornerback Chris Johnson (hamstring) and tight end/fullback Richard Gordon (broken hand).

With Reece and Gordon both out, tight end Brandon Myers could see action at fullback in some packages.

Players listed on the injury report who were full-go in practice were running back Taiwan Jones (calf), safety Jerome Boyd (knee) and cornerback Chimdi Chekwa (hamstring).
Nic Grigsby, an undrafted free agent running back out of Arizona who was released off the Miami practice squad, was signed to the Raiders' practice squad. He replaces Ron Parker, a defensive back who was promoted to the 53-man roster last week.

i dont know if anyone mentioned this, but overshadowed in the loss to the patriots was DHB going for over 100. i think he had like 115 on 4 catches. he has stepped it up compared to his horrible seasons of the past. he actually knows how to catch a little more, but i still would like to see him come back to get the ball. who should be our starting 2? at this point in the season im going with DHB and D.Mo

Raiders defensive lineman Richard Seymour has been fined $15,000 for two illegal hits against his former team on Sunday.

Seymour was fined $7,500 for slamming Patriots quarterback Tom Brady to the ground, and another $7,500 for facemasking Patriots running back BenJarvus Green-Ellis.

Both fouls, which occurred on the Patriots’ first drive, also drew 15-yard penalties and helped New England get out to an early lead.

Two other Raiders, Jarvis Moss and Mike Mitchell, were penalized for unnecessary roughness against the Patriots, but the league office told PFT that neither player was penalized.

Patriots safety Patrick Chung was fined $7,500 for an unnecessary roughness penalty in the same game.

Much respect to Al Davis.. his memory will live on.. but we wherent getting no where with these 70s playbooks..

I think so. We all know the raiders have talent, I give al props for putting together a talented roster, but our defensive scheme especially hurt the team. Hopefully we can see a little more zone coverages/blitzes/etc. Coaches don't have to worry about winning games Al's way... We can really JUST WIN BABY

Alright so I wanted to get everyone's take on these two guys.

Zach Miller and Nnamdi Asomugha.

Anyone else laughing at their failures right about now? 5 weeks deep into the season and Miller doesn't even know who the fuck his QB is anymore and Asomugha doesn't understand playing anything other than the bump and run.
Nnamdi left respectfully but fuck it, it still makes me laugh.
The Eagles will most likely get their shit together next year but who knows.
