we just got to hope we are able to stop arian foster out there, or at least limit him to under 100 and we should be good. there d-line has been playing solid this year, it will be a test for our o-line. but so far so good with our o-line,

i thought we would be 3-1 at this point on the season with the lone loss to the patriots, and we could of easily been there if not for the collapse in buffalo. if we take this W in houston, we have two winnable games at home vs the browns and cheifs, they wont be easy, but very winnable. we could be going into the bye at 5-2.

YEA THAT BUFFALO LOSS IS GONNA HUNT THE TEAM......THE REST OF THE SEASON
yeah. just like the Arizona loss last year

I don't have a great feeling about Houston. that team fucking owns us, and they're really solid this year. at least Johnson is out. we need to contain Foster, which won't be easy because our run defense is soft like EVERY FUCKING YEAR!

Sterling Moore is on the practice squad... I believe I heard they might bring him back
Sterling Moore is not on the practice squad. He was released and the team signed Safety Ron Parker. Then they released Nick Miller and signed Parker to the active team.
They will probably resign Moore to the practice squad but they haven't yet.

Hue Jackson: “We are going to win the AFC West”

Posted by Gregg Rosenthal on October 4, 2011, 10:13 AM EDT

At a time when Rex Ryan is cutting back on the rah rah rhetoric, Raiders coach Hue Jackson has taken a page out of the Ryan motivational playbook.

When you get knocked down, ramp up the confidence to new levels. And throw in a bold quasi-guarantee.

“We’re not backing down from what the expectation is here by no stretch of the imagination. It’s not going to change,” Jackson said. “We’re going to win the AFC West. We’re going to do everything we can to get in the playoffs and go challenge for a Super Bowl. I am not backing down from that.”

The manner in which the Raiders have reached 2-2 actually makes us believe Jackson. Oakland’s effort was highly inconsistent in recent years. They could beat playoff teams, but lose to anyone.

Despite the 2-2 record, Oakland has played hard each week. Their run game is an enormous weapon. Jason Campbell has been steady. They only played one team they clearly “should” beat and handled Denver rather easily.

The tough early schedule continues this week in Houston. After that, they host the Browns, Chiefs, and Broncos. That gives Oakland a chance to get to the halfway mark at 5-3 and right in the mix of what should be a two-team AFC West race with San Diego.

I have no problem with Jackson saying that shit. Wasn't happy with some of the decisions on Sunday, but Hue is still the man, I love his confidence... that shit will only continue to rub off on the team

Didnt he also guarantee a win vs. NE?? Just think if he keeps not coming through his squad will start disregarding and not responding to his comments/speeches. Also think before he goes and makes guarantees he should fix that defense and the teams penalty problem. Just my opinion though, I do think hue is the right coach and is leading the raiders in the right direction.

I don't recall him guaranteeing a win vs. the Pats, but maybe you're right, I just don't recall hearing or reading that.

I don't think that's gonna happen. The team responds to Hue, and they respect him.

I'm sure he's addressing those problems, he specifically addressed the penalties, and I think I heard they had refs at practice with them, or some shit like that...

I partially blame the defense sucking on Al, I wish he would just let the coaches coach, without having to do it Al's way. For example... Al always likes each CB to cover one side of the field, and not move around. We should have had Route on Welker all day Sunday. All teams have to do is move their best WR to the other side and let our weaker CB cover him. Also, we just don't have enough talent in our DBs all around... and our LB's need improvement... McClain needs to step his fuckin game up. I think our D-line is solid overall though
