I know France has a very good talent development system and plenty of good players that should have been at the WC were left out, but leaving the whole 23-man squad out of the national team for the rest of their careers will not leave Blanc with many options

Yeah he'll never do that but I think we gotta at least get rid off the leaders of the "rebellion" : Evra, Abidal, Malouda, Gallas and Ribery.
And we can replace them pretty easily (Tremoulinas, Mexès, Nasri, Benzema, Menez...), everybody in France remember how Jacquet didn't take Ginola, Anelka and Cantona to win the WC in 1998... The best players dont necessary make the best teams.

I have a couple questions........do the yellow/red card totals start over in the knockout rounds? And say a player picks up his second yellow in the final game of the group games, will he miss the first game of the knockout round? and are the booking rules the same in the knockout round (2 yellow = suspention)?

Messi played like dogshit today against Greece, they got lucky. I actually picked them to get to the final game. But playing like they did today wont get them past....anyone really...

congrats Mexico, you got a tough game but you need to be able to finish if you want a result.

Should of started Hernandez he was right for the pace of the game Blance is too slow :/

uhh we havent lost a group game since 1986 in world cup action....Germany is a heavyweight and a contender every time.....Euro 2008 2nd place, World Cup 2006 3rd place, etc....



and yea Mike, I'm with you. Cacau has potential I would like to see him start. Lahm is my favorite player on the team....also would like to see that...

It wasn't directed at Germany in particular.

But anyone, past history means dick all. Ghana have been getting things go their way so they need a draw or win to progress
