Some things to consider before you all get ahead of yourselves.
This was the first game in a new offense for the Cardinals. You could tell at times the receivers and Leinart were not on the same page.
Leinart looked really indecisive out there…he missed open receivers and held the ball for too long.
And the play calling was WAY too conservative. Short routes and they all seemed to go to the sidelines…didn’t really test the middle of the field. AZ’s receivers burned that secondary last year…I know they have Clements and Lewis now…but still should have tested them more.
I don’t think this will be the case with the Rams and Seattle. I would see how they perform against those guys before getting too excited.
In all fairness you could say the same thing bout the Frisco offense. I know twice for sure DJack should have had deep caught TDs. But that's how the game goes, both ways. Its the first game of the season, but I thought the defense was always better, even last season, then they got credit for. Shit the 9ers could have easily got blown out with the mistakes they made last night. For example when the D played hard got the punt, then Keith Lewis ran into the punter, fuckin bullshit. Shit like that tires out your defense, and that's how you get scored on. But the 9ers held tough, and the defense did great even for the first game. And the offense dissapointed me, but I liked how Alex Smith kept his poise and marched down the field the final drive. Can't wait til next Sunday, 2 important division games to start the season, gotta love it.
