I say sit him out for the remainder of the season, why risk further injury. If they keep pushing that shoulder he's going to require surgery.

I agree, Kobe's legacy as a top 5 player of all time was solidified when he beat the celtics in 2010, after that moment I knew everything the Lakers got out of him was a just a bonus.

Josh smith?? Honestly trade him for bums/picks this season is done anyways. Why trade him for a bad contract and end up in the same situation. After next season a lot of money is coming off the books. 2014 make that run at LeBron etc... Type of summer to put the Lakers back on the top of the mountain where they belong.

Kyrie Irving, Rubio , John Wall, Lebron James, Melo, Kobe, Klay Thompson, Ellis, Bosh, and many more will most likely test the market in 2014.

Like I said time to re-up then.

Who would of thought the most storied franchise of all time might have a few of the greatest players of all time? smdh

Also for the exception of Magic and Kobe the other two did plenty of damage with other squads. Wilt was probably at his prime with the 76ers and Warriors while Kareem spent some of his prime with the Bucks, so it's not like they're just Lakers.

I can't speak to the top five player list but...

hypothetical:

if I was picking squads to play a pick up game, and I already had four players on my team. last player to pick, and it was a choice between kobe and lebron left to pick....I am runnin with bron every time.

might just be me but I'm jes sayin tho

Kobe keeps proving my point. He should've played this way his whole career. He had like 17, 12 and 8 last night. I'd take that over the normal Kobe all damn day and by no surprise, they're actually winning now.

@ironlungs, this is why the 30+ point statistic was important. I would take 17 points with 8 assists over 30 and 3 because the team gets involved and isn't just standing around waiting for something to happen.
