I liked it. From what I've seen most of the critics hated it and it has a pretty niche audience because unless you care about NYC in the 70s and/or the origins of hip hop there's not much of reason to watch it.

The kid from DOPE is a lot better than he was in DOPE. The main guy (books) kind of annoys me and Jaden Smith---but the rest of the crew is cool.

I like the main girl too--she's hella pretty.
