No i dont work for him, i support him.. he puts out quality music, so ive been supporting him and Paul Wall since i first listened to Get your mind correct.. I agree what you say.. they did it all INDY, and sold quality mixtapes and made BIG money.. I dont know why that doesnt work in the bay..they just dont accept the mixtape thing, and the artists dont allow there songs on other tapes.. so its never gonna get big here, unless they unite..

Man.. I repped tha bay to the fullest on my ship. Even met some cats from the bay jus like me.. reppin that shit to the fullest. Even had some cats from Jacksonville, Texas, Illinois, New York, Jersey, Philly, GA even bumpin that bay shit. If we can jus take advantage of networking, or free promotion..IE the NET, we can bust out like a bombshell. The bay is sick, and always has been, and its only a matter of time before it blows tha fuck up.
Myspace is a great place to promote. Its free, and people from all over can hear what you put on your page, leave comments, if you want... they can even download, but thats up to the artist. Plus you can just get yourself out by joining groups and adding lots of people. And everytime someone accepts your friend invite, they are added to your list, and you to theirs. Then when everyone they know sees you, they can click your link and check out your page, and possibly BAM .. you got a new fan. And thats just one of the many free options out there.
HELL YEAH...if bay artist started appering on MTV and BET i would lose interest in the music...the Bay and KC is the last of a die'n breed in my opinion, they have mad respect for each other...Bay rappers fuck wit KC rappers and if the bay went mainstream they would collab wit KC rappers and that will be it for REAL STREET music...all regions would now be mainstream...

but in my opinion underground artist(from the bay or not) work harder and put more into their music and once they cross over to the mainstream it seems as if they dont put much into their work any more or their jus puttin sumthin together to get on T.V...
look at any mainstream artists work before they came out as a M.S. artist and compare it to wut they put out now...50 cent and the g-unit were dissin ja rule for makin songs for girls and now got shit like smile, disco inferno, candyshop, and dat one cut wit joe....Lil flips sunshine, and so on...
I would still support the mainstream bay artists if anyone of them crossed over as long as there is still REAL music bein made...no kissin ass soft shit...

Real talk, mainstream only likes what mtv tells them to like now, mike jones is fuckin weak, all these mainstream rappers only have to write 1/8 of what bay rappers write, it aint easy commin up with new lyrics, bay area rappers come out with new songs like every week, yellin out MIIIIKKEEE JOOOONESS aint talent, 50 cents a bitch and now hes got a video game and movie commin out, bay rappers cant even get on mtv

Devin The Dude never broke mainstream, Scarface never even blew up like mike jones has now. Bun B, even after being on numerous high profile guest appearances, aint getting love. this same thing happened on the east coast. wack artists like the diplomats, fat joe, ja rule, 50 cent, etc. got shine over real spitters like nas, cormega, little brother, and many other hot east coast talent. its a shame, but its the way corporate run media exists today.
