You can find more and more artists from the Bay in Europeans stores, the last week end I went to a club and I could hear some Messy, Federation...I have the feeling that the Bay is blowing up.

The whole Bay and Keak Da Sneak should have pushed that "Super Hyphy" single real hard and pushed it and spend money on it to be on 106 and Park. If they have done that when the song 1st came out, that song would have blown up and Keak's name would have blown up instead of Mike Jones.
THAT'S IT RIGHT THERE...ALL THESE ARTISTS AND LABEL OWNERS OUT HERE....WHEN 1 OF US GOT A HIT LIKE SUPER HYPHY WHY NOT PUT SOPME DOE TOGETHER AND PUT EVERYTHING DOWN ON PAPER SINCE IT IS A BUSINESS AND EVERYONE GET THIER POINTS N SHIT....AND PUT THE MARKETING ON KEAK'S SINGLE...DOE+VIDEO=ROTATION. REAL TALK...I'VE BEEN SAYING THIS FOR YEARS N YEARS.....YOU SEE A SHINING STAR EVERYONE OUT HERE SHOULD SUPPORT IT..FUCK IT DONANTIONS....IT MAKES NO SENSE AND IT'S FUCKIN HORRIBLE THAT THE BAY GOT ALL THESE HITS AND THERE ONLY HITS HERE AND A BIT THERE...FEEL ME.....THE BAY NEEDS CONFERENCES EVERY MONTH ON STRATEGIC MOVES THAT WILL BE GOOD AS A WHOLE IN THE LONG RUN...OR FUCK IT...LETS KEEP MAKIN HIT FOR US TO KEEPTO OURSELVES...LIKE WE'VE BEEN FOR THE PAST UMF YEARS.

You know I am astonished at the amount of "experts" that think the bay had its chance. Everyone is entitled to there opinion however, but let me explain a few things.

Mike Jones- the reason they are doing well is because Lyor Cohen and Warner Bros (Asylum Records) are putting a lot of money into the project. Keep in mind however these guys moved some 200 thousand records though indy. That alone got the majors attention. If you don't have high dollars you will get no promotion on television and radio. Both entities are very political, which is why you never see Jacka get much love on KMEL. Shit I don't even understand why KMEL dont fuck with us much, but ill bet some people know the secret of getting into radio at 106.

Second, the bay IS hot right now. That is why you see a lot of artists shouting us out and getting at us more. Did yall know how big this market is? Game soundscaned around 90 thousand in this region (SF BAY AREA) alone. So dont be surprised if artists fuck with us because the market here is wide open. So if stations like 94.9 and 106 fucked with more artists you would see better numbers. This in turn will show the majors that we deserve a shot. Its all politics, I have learned that in my short years in this business.

Long story short, if you expect to see the bay on MTV and BET real soon forget about it cause it aint happening. We need to get bigger media conglomerates supporting us because NONE of us have the money to do what the Warner Bros Aslymum records, Bad Boy, Def Jam's, and so on can do. We all need to focus on the business and just do our thing, fuck them anyway. We can sell ten thousand records and take that 80 thousand and build. I know we arent waiting to walk in someones shoes, being barefoot is a bitch. So until we get some REAL support, we gotta take care of ourselves.
REAL SPITS!

Mad? Both beats are wack to me. You said drums you said nothing about the Drum Pattern. The patterns are not the same, they are similar but they aint the only people to raise and lower the pitch of an 808. Shit T La Rock was doing that in the 80's.

the post should be locked and pinned after Franknitty's post.. no further explanations needed.. if Jacka was backed by someone like Universal you would be seeing him everywhere.. the bay would get some more spot light. Thats how you're hearing Mike Jones, Paul Wall.. and next to be Chamillionaire, they have majors backing them.. even though you think its indepentant..

What happend to the bay deals is what i was wondering.. i thought Universal Records had/was signing or was looking at Jacka and Jay Tee? What happend.. things fell through? I think if Jacka was on Universal he would blow for sure, he has that sound for the East and West Coast..

and im gonna end my post with saying E-40 will help the bay being on Lil Jon's label.. when he drops his new album it should be one of his biggest just wait and see..

Call it what you want to man. I've been here in the Bay since when we were really on top back in the late 80's/early 90's. I've been part of the movement since 1994 and I have performed with the best of them and been in the studio with the rest of them.

i would love the bay area to blow up, but if it dont im not mad.
we got quality music that us bay area people can feel, this shit was made just for us, ya know.
talkin bout streets and neighborhoods that we know about and freeways we drive on and shit, ive been outta the bay for like 3 years and its still my favorite music and im still steady showin it off to everyone i kick it with.
and ill be all over the world soon cause i fucked around and joined the Navy, so ive been in illinois and now virginia showin this shit to people.
most dont feel it cause they stuck on 50 cent, but the real hip hop fans i meet like some of it.
im just glad that im from the bay cause i love the shit being put out for the last 10 years or more, ill catch myself bumpin old ass 11/5 or Totally Insane, its music that u can listen to after the shits been out for a long time and still enjoy it.
and guess what, everyone else is missin out and they dont even know it.

so all we can do now is support our independent artists and hope for the best, but if not, atleast we get the music.

it's like a damn curse in the bay right now, i aint heard any "new" cat come with anything original to say whatsoever, everything being made out here right now sounds like a bunch of shit recycled over and over from the late 90's...only thing that will blow cats up is originality and bay cats are lacking that shit SO MUCH right now, damn...constantly talkin bout the same exact shit with the same types of flows...
