The Hyphy Movement Hits Miami

A contingent of several key players of the Bay Area rap industry -- including Clyde Carson, Keak da Sneak, Mistah FAB, Kafani, Starski, Beeda Weeda, Cellski, DJ Juice, DJ Backside, Sean Kennedy, and John from M1 Promo -- travelled coast-to-coast this past weekend to attend the TJ's DJ's Tastemakers DJ/Music Conference (August 10th-12th), and the second annual Ozone Awards (August 13th), in Miami, Florida.

The New Bay made a strong impression on their Southern hosts, and important events included Mistah FAB and DJ Backside appearing on conference panels; Clyde Carson's listening party for his highly-anticipated "Theatre Music;" a live performance by Mistah FAB, Keak da Sneak, and Kafani at the Ozone Awards; and Starski's guest appearances at the official awards after-party at the lavish nightclub, Mansion, and also at Love/Hate, a South Beach hotspot operated by the tattoo artists from Miami Ink.

The Ozone Award show, hosted by comedian Lil' Duval, also featured performances by Rick Ross, Plies, T-Pain, DJ Khaled, Young Jeezy and USDA, Lil' Wayne, Yung Joc, Hurricane Chris, Rich Boy, Foxx, Lil' Boosie, Webbie, The Shop Boyz, and more.

Yup....I tried to get out...TJsDJs conferences are always a good look....South does nothin' but show luv....its all about networking...The South and the WestCoast understand that, thats why things are poppin'....Eastcoast don't really do the network thing, theyre more individual based....they need to get their network on too...but good lookin out comin to Florida an spreadin the luv.....

The Bay area came to Miami and repped like a beast this past weekend. In attendance were Mistah FAB, DJ Juice, DJ Backside, Cellski, Keak Da Sneak, Clyde Carson, Demolition Men, Beeda Weeda, Kuzzo Fly, Traxamillion, Kamani, D-Ray, Gary Archer, Tito Bell, and a few others I can't think of off the top of my head.

All the cats were classy and never turned down a photo/video op. I swear FAB never slept lol, everywhere you looked all you saw was his colorful,neon clothing and him networking with everyone.

Then on Monday night all the Bay artists performed one set during the Ozone Awards and it recieved a good acceptance from the crowd.

Props to Mistah FAB for winning the "Patiently Waiting (California)" award
